Andrey Ivanovich was born in 1914. He fought from 1941 to 1945 as a Private in an infantry regiment of the Second Ukrainian Front. In 1943 he was seriously wounded, but after the hospital he returned to the regiment and continued to defend his homeland. He participated in the liberation of the Voronezh region, the southern region of Ukraine, Hungary and ended the war in Budapest, where he celebrated this long-awaited Victory with his fellow soldiers. He received the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was awarded of the Medal "For Combat Service" and the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd class. After the war he got married, brought up six children, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
