Koptelov Leonid Mikhailovich in the hospital. Koptelov Leonid Mikhailovich was born on January 27, 1925 in Yaransk town, Yaransk District, Kirov Region in the family of a serviceman. From January 1943 to September 1943 he was a cadet of the Lvov Military Infantry School. Not finishing it he was sent to the front. From September 1943 to August 1944 he was at the front as a gunner of the 415th Separate Anti-Tank Battalion, the 184th Dukhovshchina Rifle Division. In August 1944 he was seriously wounded, was in the hospital in Moscow. Upon recovery he was declared unfit for military service and was sent to the 396th Airfield Service Battalion
