Bulatov Ismail Bulatovich (15(28).02.1902 - 25.09.1975).
Born on February 28 in Yevpatoria. In 1922 he finished the Party School in Simferopol. In 1924 he graduated from the Kazan Military Political School. In 1933-1937 he studied at the Leningrad Military Political Academy named after V. I. Lenin. In 1937-1940 he led the course in the Military Political Academy named after V. I. Lenin in Moscow. In June 1941 Bulatov I. B. participated in the battles near Smolensk as Comissar of the 120th Division of the Western Front. In July - September he participated in the defense of Yelnya town. In October he fought near Tula. In December 1942 he took part in the formation of the 5th Shock Army as a member of the Army Military Council.
