He was 17 years old when the war started. In 1943 he got his baptism of fire at Borovichi station of Kalinin (Tver) Region. He fought in the 210th Division, 649th Rifle Regiment. As part of this regiment he went with battles from Borovichi Station to the town of Belaya Tserkov (not far from the border of the USSR and Poland). Front roads led him to China where there were battles against the Japanese invaders. In 1945 he participated in the liberation of Mugden. Aleksandr Georgievich has the following awards: "For the Victory over Germany", "For the Victory over Japan"
