Subbotin Efim Fedorovich, Hero of The Soviet Union.

Captain, reconnaissance officer of the 220th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 79th Guards Zaporozhye Rifle Division of the 8th Guards Army of the 1st Belorussian Front. He participated in the battles during the Great Patriotic War from 1941 to 1945. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of March 24, 1945 Subbotin Efim Fedorovich was awarded the title of a Hero of the Soviet Union for the courage and heroism shown during the assault-crossing of the Warta river (Poland) and holding the bridgehead. He was born in 1918 in Kuyagan village, Altaysky District, Altai Krai (Altai Territory) in a peasant family. Graduated from the Leningrad Infantry School.
