Photo taken after the war. Was born on September 25, 1920. in the village of Sredny Shurguyal, Kuzhenerskiy district of the RME, in a peasant family. In April 1941 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army, where he became a junior political instructor, studied at courses for the training of officers. He was a Komsomol organizer, assistant to the head of the political department. He fought bravely on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. For the courage and heroism shown during the Great Patriotic War, I.I. Kazantsev was awarded the Orders of the Patriotic War of I and II degrees, the medal "For Courage", the Order of the Red Star. After demobilization, he worked in leadership positions. Became a journalist and playwright. He died on May 28, 1984.
