Kalinin S.V. - Major battalion commander of a separate communications battalion of the 14th rifle corps. Battles near Narva Sergey V. Kalinin was born on 12.24.1914 in the city of Uralsk. Drafted into the ranks of the Red Army in 1936. From 1941 he served in Smolensk in a separate communications battalion. In 1943 he was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Leningrad", in 1944 - the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree for providing communications to the command of the rifle corps, in the battles for the liberation of the city of Novgorod. He retired in 1956 with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
