Levchenko Stepan Ilyich, together with his brother, went to the front. He fought on the Ukrainian front in the infantry unit. In the spring of 1942, he was surrounded near Kharkiv in the famous "Kharkiv cauldron". Was captured. Released at the end of the war. As well as many prisoners was repressed.
