Konstantin Petrovich Startsev was born in 1917 in the village of Mordovoye in the Krasnoarmeysk district of Saratov region. In autumn 1938 he was called up for service in the Red Army. He was sent to Tyumen for training. Cadet Startsev Konstantin Petrovich never returned home because the war had begun. He died in battle on 21 February. 1943. Buried in Fyodorovka village, Kharkov region. His young wife Anna and little son Yura were waiting for him at home.
