Pavel Fyodorovich Blinov (born September 20, 1921) - Senior Lieutenant of the Guards, commander of the 141st Guards Assault Aviation Regiment. In 1940 he entered a military aviation school, then was drafted into the army. From 1943 until Victory itself, he fought in the 5th and 2nd Air Armies. He participated in the Battle of Kursk and liberated Ukraine, Moldova and Romania. In his piggy bank there are many awards. On April 10, 1945 he was awarded the title of Hero of the USSR for 96 combat missions by IL-2, showing courage and valour. He died in 1998. A street in Volsk was named after him, a memorial plaque on Nauryzbai-Batyr Street in Alma-Ata was installed.
