Stepan Borisovich Pogadaev Pogadaev Stepan Borisovich (1905-1944), in 1944 - Senior Sergeant, squad leader of the 997th Rifle Regiment of the 263rd Rifle Division of the 51st Army of the 4th Ukrainian Front. Hero of the Soviet Union (1945, posthumously). On May 9, 1944, during the assault on Mount Sapun during the liberation of the city of Sevastopol, he closed the embrasure of the enemy bunker with his body.
