Women at war

My great-grandmother was a participant in the war, her name was Barabash Raisa Alekseevna, she was born on November 2, 1923 in a large family. Granny has always been an example for our family and for her sisters. She graduated from the 7th grade and entered the Kushchevsky school as a veterinarian. But the war began, and her studies were interrupted, she had to return home, to Ekaterinovskaya (now Krylovskaya). Here she collected various information, reports in the trenches and transmitted to other villages and nearby farms. She carried all this information herself, on foot, sometimes the distances were several tens of kilometers! As a 19-year-old girl, my grandmother received a summon and was drafted into military service. In 1944, she was sent to Krasnodar, where a medical examination was passed. Then, to Novocherkassk for the courses of a young fighter. There, she and many other girls were taught to walk with a marching step, crawl on their bellies and handle weapons. Then she was sent to the Kharkov 90th anti-aircraft regiment. There she was already trained as an anti-aircraft gunner. The most vivid memory associated with this place is the parade, which was received by the regiment commander: the soldiers marched with a marching step with the song "Get up, the country is huge", and the grandmother was the lead singer. By the way, she was very fond of singing, even when disassembling weapons. And one spring she and her friends were walking along the Dnieper River with the song "Oh, Dnieper, Dnieper, you are wide, powerful" and fell through the ice. Fortunately, no one was hurt and nothing happened. My grandmother said that once the commander asked her: "You are probably from Poltava?" And she replied: "No, I am from the Kuban, I am Russian." So they began to call her "Russian". From Kharkov, with the rank of junior sergeant, my grandmother was sent to Kremenchug in 1870, an anti-aircraft artillery regiment, to battery number 2. She said: “There were a lot of us, girls from Penza, Novosibirsk, Krymsk, and I still remember all of them. It was not easy for us: we carried the tools on ourselves, lived in dugouts ... And in 44 the winter was very snowy, and there was water in our dugouts. We constantly had to carry a weapon with us, because from time to time Bendera's men attacked ... And soon there, in the Ukraine, we met victory. " The grandmother died in 2014, at the age of 92. She had many medals and orders, post-war photographs, and even had a whole box of letters and congratulations. She kept all this as a memory of the years gone by. Every year we went with her to a rally on May 9, where she held the honorary place of a war veteran. We were often visited by guests from the district administration, correspondents of the local newspaper. We still have all the newspapers at home where interviews, photographs and congratulations were printed. Now I take part in the Immortal Regiment action and proudly carry a portrait of my beloved grandmother.

Smolkova (Pryakhina) Maria Grigorievna was born in 1923 in the Penza region. Four of her brothers were taken to the war, she was taken to the war as the fifth in 1942, when an order was issued to mobilize women. In the war, 2 brothers Nikolai and Mikhail were killed, 2 other brothers Ivan and Fyodor returned from the war, my grandmother also reached Romania and returned. Her Red Army book from the times of the Great Patriotic War has been preserved. It states that she was a Red Army air defense observer. As she said, the task of her and her fellow soldiers was to detect the approach of German aircraft by sound and report this to the anti-aircraft gunners who destroyed enemy aircraft. They were taught this. She said that the sound of German aircraft was different from ours, it was scary, ominous for her, and the sound of our aircraft made her happy. She was on the front line, she said that the girls were afraid, because as she said: “The front line is not marked with a pencil, we do not know whether we are on our territory or on the territory of the enemy, where it is possible to meet eye to eye with the Nazis, but we go with coils with a telephone wire on the shoulder. " She said that she was very afraid to be left behind when the cars in which they were traveling stopped at the stations, and the girls took turns going to fetch water, so I remembered the number of my unit for life. During one of the halts, the girls found a samovar and decided to warm the water in it in order to wash their hair. When my grandmother went to fetch water, a German bomb fell in the place where the samovar was, and grandmother would have died if she had not gone to fetch water. She said: "So it was not destiny to die in the war." She spoke about the war with humor, said that the first time she ate fill was during the war. The village was constantly starving, and she had a large family. Her Red Army book has been preserved, where there are all the records of her conscription and her service. There are also war photographs, they are very well preserved, her notes have been preserved on the back of the photographs. One photograph shows her military unit, the reverse says "May 10, 1945 on Victory Day." She said that they learned about the victory on May 10 and thought that it was on that day that victory in the war came. At that time she was in Romania.

The flames of war blazed for 1418 days and nights. The victory achieved by the Soviet people was won by the combined efforts of the Armed Forces, the workers' rear, the peasantry and the intelligentsia. For the first time the Nazis were stopped near Moscow, the Nazis for the first time were forced to turn back their main forces. The victory at Moscow opened the beginning of a radical turning point in the war. This victory thwarted Hitler's plan for a "blitzkrieg" and dispelled the myth of the invincible German fascist army. During the war years Moscow was the center of the anti-fascist struggle, the standard of courage, heroism and courage. In the Moscow direction, the invaders rallied their main efforts, trying to capture and destroy the Soviet capital along with its population as soon as possible. The fight against fascism was intense and difficult. The inhabitants of Moscow and the Moscow region did not lose heart, did not bow their heads before a strong and insidious enemy. They rallied closely and bravely endured all ordeals. The home front workers made a huge contribution to the victory of our soldiers near Moscow. Among the rear workers was my grandmother, Nina Nikolaevna Semyonova. During the war, she worked at the Moscow Radio Engineering Plant (MRTZ). In the war years, this plant was called "Patron" and produced large-caliber cartridges for aviation. After a very short time, the grandmother was already working independently at the machines and grinding parts according to drawings. My grandmother did not fight on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, where the fate of the whole world was decided. She worked selflessly in the rear. The Great Patriotic War was going on, everyone was hard and hungry. For the whole very long working day, my grandmother received only 500 grams of bread. She was one of the best workers in the factory. Her photo was constantly hung on the stand of the best workers. She has many certificates, gratitude and medals for excellent work. She is a Labor Veteran. Full work experience with my grandmother is 48 years. Together with my grandfather, my grandmother raised her daughter - my mother, who inherited from them a conscientious attitude to work. She has a grandson and a granddaughter. And we all love her very much! My grandmother is the best, I love her very much and am proud of her! Today Moscow is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Its beauty is eternal, like life itself, like the very desire of a person for Peace and Good. And this is part of my grandmother's merit.

Tikhobaeva (Berendyugina) Anastasia Yegorovna was born in 1924, in the village of Devotskoye, Suzemsky district, Bryansk region. After the occupation of the territory of the Bryansk region by the Nazi troops, she joined the partisan detachment named after the 25th anniversary of the Red Army under the command of Alexander Nikolaevich Saburov. She fought as an ordinary soldier, as part of a machine-gun crew in the period from August 22, 1942 to August 25, 1944. Demobilized in the fall of 1944, she returned to her homeland, to the Bryansk region. She was awarded the medal "Partisan of the Patriotic War" and "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." Memories of the war days 1941-1944 of partisan Tikhobaeva Anastasia Yegorovna. "I was born and lived in the Bryansk region. Before the war I was 16 years old. I will not describe the whole severity of my childhood, the family was large with 7 children. In 1937, during the period of Stalinist repressions, our father was taken away without trial. We had to work, to work on a collective farm - both juniors and seniors, in order to somehow survive. Participated in the raid of a partisan unit under the command of A. N. Saburov on the occupied territory of the Ukrainian SSR. And in 1941 the war began. Already in the fall of 1941 Germans came to our small village and began to establish their own order, some were shot, hanged, burned, etc. In connection with such cruelty of the Germans, people with weapons in their hands began to appear in our forests and began to attack the Germans. In the spring of 1942, many partisans appeared who beat Germans from all sides. And then the Germans sent punitive detachments to destroy civilians and partisans. They began to burn villagery, and drive civilians to concentration camps, and then they were taken to Germany, some were killed on the spot. Our village was set on fire and the civilians were gathered, led under escort to send them to concentration camps. Our village was burning. Mother with small children went into the unknown. We seized a moment when the punishers hesitated. My sister and I slipped into the thick grass, where there was a lot of nettle. Since there was a continuous cloud of smoke in the village, we were not noticed. Relatives were taken away and we were left alone in the forest. We went to look for people to whom we could ask for help, everyone hoped that the parents would return. Time passed and no one helped us. And then I decided to find one of the detachments of the formation of Alexander Nikolaevich Saburov, who was at that time in our forests. They found out and talked to me, found out that I was left alone without parents, I was accepted into the detachment. Kochetkov P. was enrolled in the machine-gun crew of the 1st company. It took a little time and in October 1942, our connection with the addition of small detachments, left the Bryansk forests and went into a distant raid across the steppes of Ukraine, making their way to the rear of the enemies. Small towns were liberated, garrisons were smashed. Following the orders of the High Command, we go further, forcing rivers with battles, they surround us, drown us in the Pinsk swamps, planes bomb from morning to evening, there is not enough weapons. Broken and hungry, we get in touch with Moscow and they deliver weapons to us with difficulty, they break through, planes fly to us. We went forward again. We occupied our large regional center, and suddenly our museum is there now. When we were in the regions of Kovel-Brest-Pinsk, it was 1944 in the spring, we were then gathered to march to the Carpathians, where Sidor Artyomovich Kovpak fought fierce battles with the Nazis. We didn't have to reunite with Kovpak. Some of the boats crossed to the other side, not all. The order came to go back where they were. Since Kovel, Lutsk, Pinsk were done, we joined with the Red Army. The army moved on, and we were sent to Kiev, to the village of Svyatoshino. There was a construction of an air town, we were there before demobilization and paperwork. In November 1944, I returned to my homeland, to the Bryansk forests. In the ashes where people started a new life. "

Galina Setova was born in 1922. By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War Galina was eighteen years old, she worked as a medical assistant, country doctor. Immediately after graduating from medical school, she was sent to work in a remote village near Vologda, where there were people who did not even know what a thermometer was. On the first day of the war, as a conscript, she put on a military uniform and was sent along with the hospital where she worked to the Leningrad Front. Almost the entire staff of that hospital that was from Vologda. The hospital was located near Luga. When the hospital was surrounded, Galina was given an evacuation list and sent to Leningrad with a group of walking wounded. The trip itself turned out to be very difficult, which she remembered later all her life. Seventeen days passed. They moved mostly at night. "The heat is terrible. The wounds are rotting. There are no bandages or medications. There was no food, and the Germans were moving on the roads already. We didn't even make fires," Galina recalled. When they were in Leningrad, they couldn't take off their boots, so had to cut them open, because their feet were so swollen. The hospital was located on the bypass canal. Galina served there until the evacuation in January 1943. In the spring of 1942, she, together with all the people of Leningrad, cleared the city. Galina Sedova graduated from the Medical Assistant College with a red diploma, which gave her the right to enter the Institute without exams. But first the plight of the family, then the war, marriage and children served as insurmountable obstacles for entering the Institute. But she was a very good medic. First, she was able to apply her knowledge, which she multiplied all her life in countless courses; second, she had empathy for patients, and third, she had a trait inherent in most good women - the desire to save lives. There were many saved lives of Leningrad residents and wounded soldiers by the staff of the hospital and by Galina personally. Only in January 1943, when there was a partial break in the siege of Leningrad, Galina was able to go to Vologda. This information was provided by the veteran's granddaughter, Chief of the Public Relations Department of the Investigation Committee of Russia S. Petrenko.

The Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 claimed the lives of millions of citizens of the Soviet Union: men, women, the elderly and children. Based on the decisions of the State Defense Committee (GKO), formed on June 30, 1941, three mass mobilizations of women were held in 1942 alone. The first mobilization, according to the decree of the State Defense Committee of the USSR of March 25, 1942, sent 100,000 Komsomol girls to the country's air defense units to replace Red Army telephone operators, radio operators, air surveillance scouts, anti-aircraft artillery, and other male military positions. On April 3, 1942, according to this decree, girls from the Kudymkarskiy District of the Perm (Molotov) Region, including Nadezhda Abramova, were drafted into the army. For a whole month they traveled in freight train cars to Moscow. The capital met them with darkness and cold. Almost through the entire city, the girls were driven on foot, so that they could not admire the beauty of the capital. They were surprised at the airships that obscured the cloudy sky of the capital and dissolved with the morning dawn. The girls were sent to the city of Serpukhov, 3 km from which the front line passed. On the first night, they experienced a severe bombing. Then the girls were divided into several groups: observers, anti-aircraft gunners, signalers, skiers. She got in a group of observers. Within a month, they completed a crash course. They were taught to identify their own and enemy planes by their appearance, sound, and flight direction and altitude. The training took place in the village of Vozdvizhenka. Then they were sent to observation posts. On each of them three girls were on duty around the clock. The observation posts were located about every 12 km in a squares pattern. The observers had a good telephone connection. The phones were American. The air defense of Moscow was at the proper level, and most of the planes that flew to bomb Moscow did not reach it. They came under heavy anti-aircraft fire, and our planes were constantly on duty in the air. At first, the girls conducted surveillance from observation towers that stood in the field and were clearly visible to the fascist pilots. They bombed these towers, and many girls were killed. Therefore, soon a new decree was issued, and they began to be on duty in shelters on the ground. There was very strict discipline, strict order in their platoon. In the peaceful post–war time, my grandmother maintained warm friendly relations with one of her front-line friends, Nadezhda Rybina, who lived in the city of Mendeleevsk in Tatarstan. All her life, she worked as a German teacher at a school. They corresponded, met, and supported each other, but Nadezhda died in 1966. At the end of the war, she returned to her village and began to work as a Secretary of the Village Council, then as a librarian. Created a new family, married a front-line soldier Peter Savelyev. They had nine children. Throughout her life, Nadezhda had an active life position, from 1956 to the present day she is a member of the CPSU. As a librarian, she worked a lot with people, enjoyed the respect of her fellow villagers. People still come to her for advice. For the last eight years before retiring, she worked as a Secretary of the party organization of the collective farm "Pravda", her work experience is 48 years. She was awarded the medals of motherhood, the Order of the Badge of Honor, as well as medals for participation in the Great Patriotic War.

Rank: Red Army _x000D_ Subdivision: 56th Moscow Red Banner Infantry Division _x000D_ Near the eternal flame there is a sculptural group of two soldiers, and a little further, in the depths of the square, there is a memorial architectural structure, where cast-iron plaques with the names of those who found death on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War are fixed on the columns. _x000D_ The monument to Daria Yegorovna Turubarova, a mother, a simple Russian woman, will forever be remembered. Among the heroes is her daughter Vera, a Komsomol member who voluntarily left for the front and passed away on the Smolensk land. She convincingly asked the Komsomol organization to recommend her as a fighter in the ranks of the Red Army. In the Reserve Regiment, the girls underwent medical training, got acquainted with small arms, and went to the front. The Motherland honored its daughter with a high award, the Order of the Red Star. _x000D_ It was learned in more detail about an effort of the Komsomol member Vera Turubarova in late September and early August 1945. At the same time the Guard Senior Sergeant Nikolai Dityatev told about the last effort of Vera Turubarova._x000D_ " .. In our guards unit everyone knows the Medical Instructor girl, the hero Vera Turubarova. She was an example for fighters, dozens of glorious stories can be told about her fighting life. This happened in the Smolensk Region, near the city of Krasny, in the very place where Napoleon's troops were defeated in the First Patriotic War of 1812. The unit in which Vera served was found in a hard position. The Nazis were consolidated at the height. They had to be knocked out. One of the battalions went on the attack several times, but unsuccessfully. Then Vera jumped out of the trench with a high-raised machine gun, with the words: “Forward, for the Motherland!” The soldiers rose behind her, and in a stubborn battle, the height was taken. A courageous girl was seriously wounded.” This story of the Guard Senior Sergeant Nikolai ityatev was published in the newspaper “Bolshevik Call” No. 91 dated August 3, 1945.

Branch of troops: Aviation. Claudia Timofeevna Serova graduated with honors from the Saratov Pedagogical School in June 1941. She knew how to shoot well, and when the Great Patriotic War started, at the age of 19 she volunteered for the front. She got into the troops called "VNOS" (air observation, warning, and communications). They were located almost on the front line in the forests, where by ear, by the sound of flying aircraft, they had to recognize their types and transmit them to anti-aircraft gunners via communication, and they, in turn, with the help of guns, shot down enemy aircraft. _x000D_ Claudia fought in different territories of the Soviet Union: she was in Belarus, Russia, and Western Ukraine. More than once she came under enemy fire. But the first time they bombed the echelon in which they were traveling to the front, she recalled that it was very scary. Everything was on fire around, no one knew where to run and where to hide. At that moment, it was necessary first of all to overcome fear, then to help the wounded, and after the bombing, move on to the front line, and she did it. _x000D_ Claudia was appointed Platoon Commander, under her command there were the same young girls, like herself, who had hardships, but they endured these trials with honor, defending their homeland of its civilians, old people and children from the enemy invaders. For military merits, Claudia received awards. _x000D_ At the end of the war, she returned to her peaceful profession in Primary School as a Teacher, got married, gave birth to 3 daughters. Near Bryansk, on the orders of the Commander, she followed the telephone cable, miraculously did not get captured as prisoner. Three soldiers helped. After redeployment in the Frolov town, together with her fellow soldier Polina, she received an order to deliver the package to the unit. They walked at night, without a compass, got lost and went the other way, ended up in a village. An old man sheltered them and cured their frostbitten legs. This woman could not wake them up and the next bombing slept like dead. The windows were broken, they heard nothing. They were not allowed to Kupinsk. They stopped the train and bombed again. The entire train burned down. Two carriages of soldiers were bombed, the heads and hands were found around. _x000D_ Only then Sonya got scared. She didn't know what to say or do. Branch of troops: Military Medical Personnel_x000D_ _x000D_ May 9 is always an important and revered holiday for me. I want to tell you about my great-great-grandmother: Soboleva (Permyakova) Anastasia Efimovna was born in 1912 on July 12 in the village. Kupryakovo, Shelopuginsky district, Chita region. She passed away in 2010 at the 98th year of her life in the village of Semiozerny, Mogochinsky district. She was the youngest, the eighth child. As in any peasant family, the girl was taught to work from an early age. At the age of 6, Nastena knew how to work in the garden, help around the house. Life opened new pages every day. The carefree childhood ended quickly. There was the Civil War, revolutions, repressions of the 30s, endless change of power ... but she was lucky enough to finish 4 classes. Then hunger and poverty reigned, they ate frozen potatoes, nettles, and quinoa. She collected wild onions on the banks of the river Shilka. _x000D_ The Great Patriotic War became an ordeal for her. When she learned about the German attack, she volunteered for the front and was assigned as a nurse at the Red Cross. The husband also went to the front, and the children were taken to their grandmother. All these 5 long years she worked in a hospital or was often on the road on ambulance trains. She washed the wounded, made bandages, wore the wounded from the combatfield, saved people. _x000D_ At the end of the war, she returned home, at that time in the city of Sretensk. Soon the sad news came that her beloved was killed ... She remarried and went to work in kolkhoz. She raised ten children. _x000D_ But, unfortunately, no documents, photographs, awards have survived. Everything burned down during a fire in the house, all the archives cannot be restored, and there are almost no witnesses of those years ... Now it is difficult to even imagine how much grief, horror, and tears my ancestress had suffered.
