Sherstyankin Konstantin Petrovich
Konstantin Petrovich Sherstyankin was born on December 10, 1916. He went to the front in July 1941. He was an intelligent officer, senior lieutenant of the 114th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 37th Guards Division, with which he reached Poland. After crossing the Narew River in September 1944. “On September 16, 1944, the reconnaissance platoon received the task of delivering a control prisoner. Comrade Sherstyankin himself became the head of the capture group. Imperceptibly, crawling the group reached the opponents. Imperceptibly we made his way into the cell and waited for the Germans there. After a while, the German entered the cell and Comrade Sherstyankin captured him. The tongue was delivered to the headquarters, says the award list.
