In 1942, he was taken prisoner, but managed to escape and continued heroically liberate our homeland from the Nazi invaders._x000D_ On July 18, 1942, during an artillery bombardment, Sergeant M. Malyshev fixed four breaks in the telephone line, which ensured uninterrupted firing by the division when repelling a counterattack by enemy tanks and infantry. For that deed, he received the Medal For Bravery._x000D_ After, on March 9, 1943, under heavy artillery and machine-gun fire of the enemy, he laid a telephone line from the observation post of the division commander to the forward observation post and during the day, despite mortar and machine-gun fire, fixed 37 telephone line splits, which ensured uninterrupted firing at detected targets and the retreating enemy. For this heroic feat M. Malyshev was awarded the Order of the Red Star._x000D_ He also participated in the liberation of Budapest and Vienna. Awarded: Orders of the Patriotic War 2nd degree, Medals For the Capture of Vienna, For the Capture of Berlin, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945._x000D_ In May 1945, he was discharged. After the war, he got married and worked as a carpenter for the Bugulma Mechanical Plant. Relatives remember that when talking about the Great Patriotic War, he always tried to avoid questions, tears immediately welled up in his eyes. All those who went through the hell of the Great Patriotic War could not remember with a calm heart the terrible events that occurred in the life of our Motherland. Thanks to their heroic deeds, we can enjoy the sunrises and sunsets, the song of birds, and see this bright sky above our heads. Eternal memory to all those who participated in this terrible war, those who gave their lives to save our people…

Rank: Lieutenant. Branch of service: Army, Air Force (except Naval Aviation), Coast Guard, NKVD troops, Border Guards._x000D_ Valey Sadykov was enlisted in the army in 1938 in cavalry unit. He served in the Far East (Voroshilov)._x000D_ At first, he was a veterinary assistant in the 163rd Cavalry Regiment of the 8th Far Eastern Cavalry Division, according to his specialty. Then he studied at the school of Junior commanders in the city of Ussuriisk and was appointed a platoon commander. For success in combat training, he received the rank of Second Lieutenant, and then Lieutenant. He was supposed to be sent to a military school._x000D_ But in 1941, the war began and the troops of the Primorskaya Army were put on high alert and in October 1941, the order came to send them to the front. In November they were on the Western front, as part of the 6th Cavalry Corps (Commander Major General Sokolov). Valey took part in the defense of Moscow and the counteroffensive, received a severe chest wound. There were very heavy fights and for his bravery, he was nicknamed "the furious Bashkir"._x000D_ After six months of treatment in the hospital, he manages to return to his regiment already on the Bryansk front. There were defensive battles. In 1943, the division was transferred to the Steppe Front (reserve front of the Supreme Command), for the battles near Kursk, commander of cavalry squadron Sadykov received the Medal For Bravery, which was equated to an Order._x000D_ With the transformation of the front into the 2nd Ukrainian (I. Konev remained a Commander), the 6th Guards Cavalry Division began crossing the Dnieper River South of Kremenchug. The end of October, icy water, but the squadron managed to cross to the right Bank and gain a foothold. Sadykov and his men held the bridgehead for 3 days until the main forces crossed. There were five survivors, but wounded. For this feat, division commander P. Khrustalev presented Sadykov to the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union. The frontline newspaper wrote about this._x000D_ But in war as in war. The division headquarters were bombed, and some of the documents were destroyed. Next comes the liberation of the South of the Right-Bank Ukraine, then Moldova. In these battles, Sadykov was awarded two consecutive Orders of the Red Star. The Order of the Patriotic War 2nd degree he received for the battles in Hungary. For Vienna, where he was again wounded in the chest, he received the Order of the Red Banner._x000D_ In total, Sadykov received eight military awards for his military exploits: four orders and five medals. After the war, he was also awarded one order and many commemorative medals (somewhere up to 15). He was glad to see them, but he liked to wear only military awards and always raised a toast to those front-line friends who died on the battlefield._x000D_ After the end of the war, he got married. He served first in the Western Ukraine, and then in the Belarusian Military District (Borisov). His son Yuri was born there, he was named after Valey’s fallen comrade._x000D_ In 1947, military command wanted to send him to study in Moscow, but he, at the request of his beloved wife, refused and went to his native Bashkiria. He worksed as the Chairman of the collective farm and a foreman. Later he received forestry education and devoted his life to forestry.

HISTORY:_x000D_ Vadim Miler was born on October 24, 1923 in Chita._x000D_ In July 1941, he received two certificates at the same time: one of a High School graduation, the other of the Chita Air Club. He got the rank of a reserve pilot. He went to work as a worker in a tannery._x000D_ In March 1942, he became a cadet at the school of aircraft mechanics in Irkutsk. But he did not manage to finish school: in September of the same year, as the commander of the submachine gun squad in the 43rd Mechanized Brigade, he already fought with the Nazis on the Kalinin Front, in the Velikie Luki Region, and then in the same military unit - on the Voronezh and Central Fronts._x000D_ In the summer of 1943, the mechanized brigade participated in the battles on the Orel-Kursk bulge. Together with other military units, it knocked out the enemy from the most important railway station Zmiyevka and the surrounding villages. In one of the battles in the Oryol Region, Milier was wounded in the neck. He was treated in the city of Yelets for a month ._x000D_ After recovery, he was assigned to the 79th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment as an Air gun operator on IL-2. A dream came true. He was finally in aviation! An air assault regiment of the 16th Air Army bombed railway stations occupied by the enemy, river crossings, and enemy strongholds._x000D_ Planes were also sent for investigation. For example, in December 1943, two IL-2s, one of which had a Milier, had to confirm the presence of German trains at the railway station. The assault planes were covered by three of our fighters. As Vadim recalls, both IL-2s reached the target safely. They photographed the station and found that it was packed with military personnel and military equipment. The station was protected by anti-aircraft installations and fighters. Anti-aircraft guns opened feverish fire. The leading IL-2 was hit. It went to the ground in a corkscrew and crashed. The entire crew was killed. Two German fighters appeared in the air. They had the second assault plane in a vise on both sides. Milier was there. The battle began - two Hitler's Focke-Wulf-190 fighters against one IL-2. The Russian plane fiercely fired back and shot down one enemy fighter approaching from the right side. The latter, leaving a black plume behind, fell like a stone. Soviet plane was also hit: Milier's machine gun turret was smashed by a shell. The shooter himself was shot through the left shoulder. The aircraft commander Nemtinov's dashboard was smashed to smithereens. It was not known what would have ended this duel, if the commander of the IL-2 did not sharply throw the plane down and low-level flight did not bring it out of the fire._x000D_ In the late summer of 1944, the 79th Assault Regiment was based near the Warsaw suburb of Prague. Petty Officer Milier was now flying with captain S. Drozdov._x000D_ The squadron helped units of the 8th Army of General V. Chuikov to gain a foothold on this patch of land. On September 30, there was another flight. An enemy anti-aircraft shell penetrated the gas tank. Captain Drozdov managed to pull the plane to the Eastern Bank of the river and landed near the town of Zatsizhe, in the location of the Polish army. The poles who run up to the burning attack aircraft barely managed to pull the wounded pilot and shooter out of the machine, as it exploded and burned down. Drozdov died of multiple burns on the operating table in the Polish infirmary. Vadim was in danger of losing both legs. The Polish surgeon had to amputate his broken left leg, but managed to save the right one. Later Milier was treated in Moscow. He was able to walk only after eight months._x000D_ Vadim Milier participated in 55 combat missions in the assault aviation regiment. And each sortie is a possible encounter with enemy fighters, anti-aircraft guns, the probability of an emergency landing on enemy territory, his nerves at the limit, constant concentration, endurance and the desire to come out victorious in a fight with the enemy._x000D_ All that was now behind him. Vadim had to overcome his sores, learn to walk on a single injured leg and not only adapt to life, but also become useful to people. Former air gunner overcame all of this._x000D_ In the squadron, and in the hospital, he was called "Communard" because his great-grandfather, the Frenchman Jules (Julius) Georg Milier and his brother Jean-Baptiste Milier took part in the resistance to the Bonapartist coup in December 1851. Jules Milier immigrated to Russia, reached Irkutsk. He met the Decembrist Sergei Volkonskiy and his wife Maria. He married a Russian girl Tatyana. Maria Volkonskaya became the godmother of their son Viktor._x000D_ The fate of Milier Jean Baptiste was tragic. He was elected to the National Assembly in 1871. During the Paris Commune, he collaborated in the newspaper "Commune". He was captured by the Versailles troops and shot without trial._x000D_ During the Great Patriotic War, a descendant of French revolutionaries Vadim Milier bravely fought the Nazis. There are four military orders on his chest - two of the Patriotic War and two of the Red Star, the medal For Bravery, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and numerous commemorative, in peacetime - Veteran of labor._x000D_ Vadim Miler died in 2015.

Rank: Captain. _x000D_ Branch of service: Artillery. _x000D_ Duty station: 385th Krichev Red Banner Order of Suvorov Rifle Division._x000D_ In 1939-1940, he took part in The Soviet-Finnish war, where he was wounded. Since 1941, he participated in the fighting of the Second world war on the Western and 1st Belorussian Fronts, 1266th Rifle Regiment, 385th Division, 10 Army, 65 Army. He began his military service in December 1941 with the defense of Moscow. He was shell-shocked on 10.01.1942._x000D_ "Comrade Sabaev has been in the regiment since he was formed as the Political Officer of the company. In the battles for the villadge of Krutaya comrade Sabaev with his company went along with the riflemen to the rear of the enemy, his personal example inspired the feat of fighters, personally destroyed a machine-gun point with its crew from a mortar and suppressed two mortar points. Soldiers of the company, which was led by comrade Sabaev, during the fighting, up to 100 Germans were destroyed."_x000D_ "Comrade Sabaev during the period of being in the reserve battery of officers of the army Command as a platoon commander by hard work has achieved significant success in training platoon and battery commanders to provide artillery units of the army. With deep knowledge and the correct formulation of the educational process, he managed to prepare and provide the active units with trained officers. Among his students there were 25 officers who were awarded Government awards only for the period of fighting since 26.06.1944. Combat training and discipline is at a high level among the battery platoons. In the period of preparation for the breakthrough of a strongly fortified enemy line in the area of Bobruisk, comrade Sabaev, along with the training of officers, had a number of assignments for the staffing and placement of officers, with which he coped well. For the training and education of reserve officers, comrade Sabaev fully deserves the Government award of the Order of the Red Star."_x000D_ "First Lieutenant G. Sabaev works in the personnel Department of the army and shows himself as an experienced officer who knows his job perfectly. Correctly organized the work on record keeping and staffing of artillery units of the army, and clearly put the case of record keeping in the Department. During the preparation and breakthrough of the long-term German defense in the Parichi-Bobruisk area, crossing the Narev River and holding the bridgehead on the West Bank of the Narev River, comrade Sabaev spent most of the time in the battle formations of the army's artillery units, where he was directly engaged in recruiting officers on the ground and carried out a lot of work on record keeping and awarding. With his hard work and energy, efficiency and fearlessness, he achieved significant results in his work, earned respect for good work and professional knowledge from artillery units. For skillful and correct work on record keeping and manning artillery units with officers, for personal courage and bravery shown in performing urgent tasks of the command comrade Sabaev deserved the government award of the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree."

Two months later, in August 1944, the division, which was being reorganized, left for the front and took up defense along the banks of the Dniester River. As a member of the guard division, Lieutenant Moskalev participated in the Iassyi-Kishinev operation, liberated Bendery, Belgorod-Dniester, and crossed the Danube River._x000D_ The commander of a machine-gun platoon of the 176th Guards Rifle Regiment (59th Guards Rifle Division, 46th Army, 2nd Ukrainian Front), Komsomol member Guards Lieutenant Georgiy Moskalev distinguished himself on December 4, 1944 when crossing the Danube River near the city of Erci (Hungary). Guards Lieutenant Moskalev with his machine-gunners crossed on the vanguard boat. The platoon's fire forced the enemy to retreat with heavy losses. Having occupied a small bridgehead, the soldiers firmly hold it, ensuring the crossing of the regiment's units. In the battle to hold and expand the bridgehead, he took command of the company, replacing the fallen commander. On the night of December 7, a company under his command captured the dominant height, and at dawn, pursuing the retreating enemy, cut the Budapest-Szekesfehervar road._x000D_ In one of the battles on the outskirts of the capital of Austria, Vienna, he was seriously wounded. In a hospital in Budapest, he learned about the high award._x000D_ By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, for Exemplary performance of combat tasks of the command at the front in the fight against the Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism shown, Guards Lieutenant Georgiy Moskalev was awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal._x000D_ After the Victory, he continued to serve in the army, on the territory of the Odessa Region. Moskalev was the author of the paintings "Battle for the Danube", "Breakthrough", "Dawn", "One on one" and others. In 1975, he received the title of People's Artist of the Buryat ASSR. He was a laureate of the State Prize of the Buryat ASSR in the field of literature and art._x000D_ He died on March 3, 2011.

History:_x000D_ Mikhail Mikheev was born on May 1, 1920 in the village of Voetskoye, Baryshsky Ddistrict, Ulyanovsk Region._x000D_ Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Tanker. The Captain of the reserve. Awarded two Orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd degree, 18 medals._x000D_ Representative of the legendary dynasty of Soviet tankers – nine Mikheev brothers: Viktor, Pavel, Fedor, Vladimir, Ivan, Alexander, Mikhail, Semen and Peter. On the eve of the war, five of them graduated from the Ulyanovsk Tank School, with the permission of the People's Commissar of Defense, the Mikheev tank company was created, in which six older brothers served. Viktor became the company commander, Vladimir became the Deputy, and Pavel, Fyodor, and Ivan were appointed platoon commanders. Alexander was a driver in this company. From the very first days of the war with Nazi Germany, the company of the Mikheev brothers smashed the enemy. They were more than once distinguished by their courage and bravery in battles. The platoon commander Ivan Mikheev was killed, then another brother, a mechanic-driver Alexander. The four Mikheevs continued to fight the German invaders. Viktor became the commander of the heavy tank battalion, and Pavel became his Deputy. For their skilful combat actions, Vladimir and Viktor were appointed company commanders. The Mikheev brothers fought bravely in the summer of 1942 near Barvenkovo and Kharkov. In these battles, Viktor was seriously wounded, and Vladimir was shell-shocked. Then, the tank brothers fought on different fronts of the Great Patriotic War. And Vladimir Mikheev, having already become the commander of the 36th Guards Tank Regiment, participated in the Battle on Berlin. And made the inscription on the wall of the defeated Reichstag on behalf of his family: "The end of fascism. Mikheevs in Berlin. Long live Victory!"_x000D_ The battle tradition of the seniors was continued by a tank crew consisting of the younger Mikheevs. Michael, Simon and Peter fought bravely in the battles with the Japanese militarists. Their tank, which was commanded by my father Mikhail Mikheev, went over eight hundred kilometers almost all of Manchuria on the road, through mountain passes, smashing the mountain formations of the Kwantung army. As part of the troops of the 259th Separate Tank Brigade, the 25th Army, and the 1st Far Eastern Front, the tank crew of the younger Mikheev brothers participated in the liberation of several cities. They met the end of the war on the Pacific coast. For courage and bravery in the battles to defeat Nazi Germany and militaristic Japan, nine brothers Mikheev were awarded a total of 85 military orders and medals._x000D_ Mikhail Mikheev died on September 23, 2003.

Branch of Service: Artillery. Sergeant Major._x000D_ D. Sloyan served in the Red Army since 1939, a participant of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940. Later served in Odessa. From the first days of the Great Patriotic War, he was at the front. Sloyan participated in the defense of the Kerch Peninsula._x000D_ In May 1942, spent three days on a raft in an open sea. On May 16, he was picked up and taken to Taman. After this incident, he was in anti-aircraft and then anti-tank artillery units. In the difficult year of 1941 – Dzhmo Sloyan became a candidate, and in 1943 - a member of the Communist Party._x000D_ During the period of fighting from March 21 to March 30, 1943, when our units attacked the village of Kamenka, Sergeant Major Sloyan, under heavy machine-gun and artillery fire, rolled out a gun to an open firing position 300-400 meters and destroyed one anti-tank gun, 5 machine-gun points and 2 enemy bunkers, for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Star._x000D_ In the battle for the village of Boborykhin Hill on September 17, 1943, as the commander of a battery of 45-mm guns, Sergeant Major D. Sloyan with a group of fighters destroyed 5 machine guns, up to two platoons of enemy infantry, and successfully repelled a counterattack by enemy infantry and tanks._x000D_ The brave battery commander was awarded the medal For Bravery, and on December 7, 1943 – the second Order of the Red Star._x000D_ In the battles near the village of Zastenok Yurev of the Dubrovinskiy District of the Vitebsk Region on November 25, 1943, D. Sloyan commanded a platoon that destroyed 14 machine guns, destroyed 8 enemy dugouts, and ensured the advance of our infantry. He was awarded the Order of Glory, 3rd degree._x000D_ In heavy fighting, D. Sloyan was seriously wounded on December 25, 1943. After recovering, he continued to serve in the Red Army and was discharged in 1946. He worked for a collective farm, and from 1961 he worked for state farm #38 in the Ashtarak District. In 1992 he moved to Kharkov Region, Chuguev District, village of Vvedenka, St. Barova, 2. Died on October 20, 1998, was buried there.

Rank: Lieutenant Colonel_x000D_ Branch of Service: Military Veterinary Staff_x000D_ My great-grandfather Alexander Savchenkov was born on October 20, 1902 in a poor peasant family. At birth, he was given the name Artemiy, which his great-grandfather changed to Alexander in 1932. After graduating from Divasovskaya 4-year school, my grandfather realized that he did not want to wear bast shoes all his life and decided to master shoemaking. At first, the self-taught shoemaker's shoes were "laughter and sin". My grandfather learned the tricks of shoemaking in a Shoemaking workshop in the 69th Army._x000D_ In 1929, he passed the external exams for 9 classes and entered the Military Veterinary Paramedic School, then graduated from the Military Veterinary Faculty at the Moscow Veterinary Institute. He was sent to Khabarovsk as a veterinarian, and then as the Chief of the Medical Department of the Khabarovsk infirmary._x000D_ The war caught our great-grandfather in the Far East, in Blagoveshchensk, where he served on the border as the chief of the veterinary infirmary. Two weeks before the beginning of the war, great-grandfather received an urgent assignment in Bialystok (order of 07.06.1941 on the appointment of the Chief of the Bialystok Garrison Veterinary Infirmary), on the Polish border, where the invasion of Nazi troops began...where no one survived. By the will of fate, the family was delayed - it was necessary to collect things, sell the farm, because they were leaving forever. The whole family was "sitting on their suitcases" and was going to stop in Smolensk on the way to visit all their relatives. I'm afraid to think what would have happened if my great-grandfather and his family had reached Bialystok earlier than June 22._x000D_ To get a new appointment, great-grandfather and his family went to Moscow. The road was very difficult: the train constantly had to let go trains with troops going to the front. Somewhere in the Urals, people began to talk about the horrors that occur at the front._x000D_ In Moscow, my great-grandfather was assigned to Tula as the Chief of the Military Veterinary Infirmary. This was the beginning of the military path, and then there was the city of Skopin-Marshansk, Shilovo - again Tula-Rzhev-Bryansk-Poland-Narva (Estonia) - Berlin. He participated in the battles of the Western, Bryansk and 1st Belorussian Fronts._x000D_ Great-grandfather was born in the village and since childhood was engaged with horses, so he put his heart and soul into his work. He told our grandmother Zina (his daughter) that horses are very smart animals. When the fighting started, one could hear the roar of explosions, the horses were very nervous, even crying. I had to calm everyone down. There were few vehicles, so horses were the main means of transport in those years. They were the ones who transported heavy weapons and people._x000D_ Without a horse, you can't feed a soldier — after all that were the horses that delivered food carts and field kitchens to the positions. Every a rifle regiment was supposed to have three hundred and fifty horses. And how many wounded men owe their lives to these humble war workers! After all, most of the infirmaries and medical units were also "horse-drawn". It often happened that the infantry went to the positions not on trucks, but on horse carts. Well, the movement of partisan detachments without this type of transport is impossible to imagine._x000D_ Our great-grandfather Sasha was awarded the Order of the Red Star for saving the cavalry in the battles of the Bug and Vistula._x000D_ And the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd degree great-grandfather received for preparing the cavalry for the capture of Berlin!_x000D_ After the war, my great-grandfather lived with his family for some time in Narva (Estonia), and then received a transfer to the Moscow Region and retired. Unfortunately, he lived only 13 years after the war. My great-grandmother Asya, his wife, lived until the age of 96 (until 1998) and told us everything in detail._x000D_ Our family honors the memory of those who participated in the great Patriotic War. It is dear to our hearts! We remember our HEROES!!!

Branch of Service: Artillery._x000D_ The military history of my father, Oleg Smirnov, begins in 1940. After completing the 10th grade of Irbit High School, he was called up to the Pacific Fleet for active military service. From the training unit on the island of Russian father was assigned to the submarine in the position of helmsman. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, my father was eager to go to the front in the area of military actions. After repeatedly submitting reports, he was seconded as a volunteer to the marine brigade._x000D_ In the winter of 1941-42, as member of brigade, my father took part in the offensive near Moscow, on the Kalinin front. In 1942, my father was sent to the 2nd Guards Omsk Artillery and Mortar School, and graduated with the rank of Lieutenant in March 1943._x000D_ From the spring of 1943 to the beginning of 1945, he fought on the Leningrad Front in a rank of Lieutenant and First Lieutenant, commanded the installation of Guards mortars (the famous "Katyusha"), and later commanded a battery of such mortars. Soldiers and officers of the front gave half of their meager food rations to be sent along the "Road of life" to those residents of Leningrad who remained in the city. Until the end of his life, my father could not calmly watch if food was thrown away, and even more so bread._x000D_ After the siege of Leningrad was lifted, the 2nd Guards Mortar Brigade of the 5th Artillery Division of RSC, which included my father's battery, participated in the liberation of the Baltic States from the Nazis, in particular Estonia and Tallinn. With the 1st Belorussian Front, he took part in the liberation of Warsaw from the Nazis._x000D_ My father, Oleg Smirnov, Guards First Lieutenant, commander of the Katyush battery, took part in the battle of Berlin, and then the exit to the Oder-spree canal, where his unit was stationed until 1947._x000D_ My father was wounded in battle. He was discharged in March 1947._x000D_ Awarded Orders of the Red Star, Patriotic War, medals For the Defense of Moscow, For the Defense of Leningrad, and the Liberation of Warsaw, For Capture of Berlin, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic war 1941-1945, various jubilee medals and awards._x000D_ After returning from the front, he graduated from the Moscow Plekhanov Institute of People’s Economy. Worked for GOSPLAN of USSR and GOSPLAN of RSFSR. After retiring in 1982, he took an active part in the work of the Council of veterans of the Great Patriotic War._x000D_ He died in July 1986. He was buried at the Vagankovo cemetery.

History:_x000D_ Graduated with honors first from the teachers' and then from the pedagogical Institute. Worked for the education system. Before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, he was sent to the Stanislavskiy, now Ivano-Frankivskiy Region of Ukraine to organize secondary and incomplete secondary schools. He was the Director of a School in Western Ukraine. From the very first day of the war, a purely civilian person found himself in its maelstrom._x000D_ He got under the first bombardment, was fighting as a volunteer with German paratroopers. Then, during the retreat in the difficult year of 1941, he was sent to Dnepropetrovsk, where his mother lived. There he was assigned to evacuate collective farms from Ukraine to Kazakhstan. He reached the evacuation center. In conditions of withdrawal and confusion, he was found by his older sister, whose husband was killed. The meeting was short-lived, and Andrey was soon conscripted into the army. He got to Baku with the evacuees, and then ended up in Derbent in Azerbaijan. Doctors at first recognized him as unfit for military service, so he worked as the School Director until December 1942. However, after a personal statement, Andrey was sent as a volunteer to the courses of political instructors, at the end of which he was appointed Deputy Company Commander for the Political Affairs. Repeatedly during the beginning of the offensive, Andrey was the first to rise to the attack, inspiring other soldiers. He was wounded twice, but remained in the ranks._x000D_ Then he was sent to Baku for retraining of commanders. From the cadets of the school, a brigade was formed that participated in fierce battles in the area of Mozdok and Vladikavkaz and suffered heavy losses. Andrey received his first award, the Medal For Military Merit, while commanding a machine-gun company. Personally killed and captured several Germans in battle, was surrounded and fought his way out of it. Then the unit was transferred to the Crimea, where after being wounded, he ended up in a hospital, and then in the reserve, from which he got to the Baltic front as an artillery commander at the head of an anti-tank battery in the Konigsberg area. The next assignment was to the Minsk Military District in the Guards detachment._x000D_ At the end of the war, Andrey, who was seriously wounded three times, was sent to work for the police of the Lvov Region. He was in charge of a children's colony and a men's Dragobych colony with 3,000 inmates, then worked in Siberia, Uzbekistan, and taught "special pedagogy" at the police school in Tashkent as a senior teacher. At the age of 50, he was demobilized, remained working in Uzbekistan as a Deputy Director, and then as a High School Director._x000D_ Here Andrey decided to do scientific work, worked with students and applicants. Heavy illnesses, a long treatment in the Caucasus fell on him. Then he continued to work in Bashkortostan. His family was poor, and his father died very young. Ivan always aspired to knowledge and at the end of the 8th grade, he built a wooden suitcase for himself and went to study. He was in the Red Army from 1940._x000D_ This is the feat for which he received the Order of the Red Star! In the fight against the German-fascist invaders, Lieutenant Ivan Seredin had been participating since August 1944 on the section of the 2nd Belorussian Front. During his stay in the regiment, he made 35 sorties to escort attack aircraft IL-2, of which: 13 with a bomb load with simultaneous attack of enemy personnel and equipment. Bomb and assault attacks destroyed and disabled: 3 trucks, 5 carts with cargo, one artillery battery and up to 30 enemy soldiers and officers. All completed 35 sorties were sent to escort the IL-2 attack aircraft. During the entire period of combat work, he did not have a single case of loss of attack aircraft from enemy fighters. As a wingman, the pilot ensured the victory of the leader at the right moment. Feeling responsible for saving the life of his commander, he always noticed the enemy in time and repelled his attacks, for example: when accompanied by attack aircraft IL-2 four LA-5, which included the wingman Second Lieutenant Seredin suddenly were attacked by 6 FV-190, Second Lieutenant Seredin, seeing that two FV-190 attacked the leading LA-5 fighters, quickly reacting to what was happening, repelled the attack, thereby saving the leader and himself engaged in battle with one FV-190, as a result of an air battle the FV-190 was hit. For this feat, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star. During the period of fierce battles with German fascism, when a wounded animal crawls away to its lair, the Second Lieutenant gave all his strength and knowledge to inflict the greatest losses to the enemy in manpower and equipment.
