Branch of troops: Artillery _x000D_ Unit: 96th Infantry Division (2nd formation) _x000D_ _x000D_ In June 1938, for the first time in the rules of conscription into the Army, I was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army for personnel service and ended up in the border troops, in the Bakhtinsky Red Banner Border Cavalry detachment. It is about 200 km from the Ayaguz railway station in the Almaty region - to the Chinese border, where I had to serve for three years. The end of my service life, we began to get ready home, but at that time the Patriotic War began and I was sent to Kharkov to the Kharkov Cavalry Frontier School. But soon a German began to approach Kharkov, all of us at the school began to evacuate to the rear. We got to some station, it seems "Balanda" (but not exactly), where two or three days later the freight cars were brought and we were taken to Tashkent. Of course, we didn't know it right away. _x000D_ Then we realized that we were driving along our own highway and with my Aktobe comrade at one station gave my mother a telegram home, but she received it a month after my passage. When we arrived in Aktyubinsk, there was a severe frost, I lifted the flaps of my overcoat and without rest ran to our hut, went into the hut and did not sit down, only said where our train was. They were in time, i.e. Mom and sisters came, it was deep night, we saw each other ... _x000D_ In Tashkent, after graduating from college, I was awarded the title of Junior. Lieutenant and sent to the border town of Jarkent, now Panfilov. There was a border detachment and I ended up at the Baskunchi border outpost as an assistant to the head of the outpost. After spending the night by the river, I fell ill, a subcutaneous abscess appeared in my throat. I lay for several days at the outpost, I did not feel better, then they took me to Jarkent to the medical unit, and from there to the city hospital, where they made an autopsy of this abscess. _x000D_ Here, in this hospital, I met a young nurse in a blue gas kerchief. On July 20, 1942, this young nurse called me at the Zastava and arrived in a car with a movie-making machine and became my wife, Anna Panteleevna, your mother and grandmother. We lived with her at the Baskunchi outpost for four months and on November 23, 1942, we left for Dzharkent, from where I went to the front. Our Commander of the Alma-Ata district decided to form a Division from border guards, he was allowed, but he was not allowed to go to the front. I arrived in Sverdlovsk for the formation, and from there I arrived at the Rogolevo farm, where I received a platoon of soldiers and conducted courses on training Junior Leiutenants. On April 2, 1943, they left this farm, on April 27 they arrived in Kursk and reached the village of Krasnaya Polyana, here they stopped in the steppe and on May 13, 1943 cadets were graduated. Title: Red Army soldier _x000D_ _x000D_ "At the beginning of 1944, by order of the People's Commissariat of Defense, Kalmyks were expelled from all fronts and military districts, Sergeants and rank-and-file personnel, as well as cadets from military schools. They were enlisted in 6th Reserve Regiment, a Rifle Brigade, which was stationed at the Kungur station of the Perm railway, and then sent by teams to the construction of the Shirokov hydroelectric power station. About 4 thousand soldiers and cadets were recalled from the active army. These were mainly people of Kalmyk nationality. The frontline Kalmyks were recalled to the rear under the pretext of creating a Kalmyk national unit in the Urals. _x000D_ The servicemen greeted these explanations with satisfaction, but already on the road, and especially upon arrival at Shiroklag, they understood that they had been deceived ... There, somewhere in the Middle Urals, in the town of Shirokovo, the Kalmyks were turned into slaves, they were driven to work by deception in a forest concentration camp. _x000D_ Among those who ended up in Shiroklag was Sangadzhiev Badma Kokuevich. His name is listed in the lists of Kalmyk military personnel recalled from the fronts in 1944-1945. _x000D_ Badma Kokuevich was born in 1925 in Kalmykia, Privolzhsky ulus, Nitsyansky village, received 7 grade education, was a member of the Komsomol and was drafted by the Volga Comissariat in 1943. Sangadzhiev B.K. served in the active army from March 1943 to January 1944 in 85th Rifle Division, 167th Artillery Regiment, rank of private. _x000D_ The Book of Memory says that Sangadzhiev B.K. arrived in Shiroklag on 03/28/1944, demobilized on 03/06/1945, sent to the Krasnoyarsk Territory to the special commandant's office of the Kozul District of the NKVD. At the Kalmyk State University, Badma Kokuevich worked as a watchman. He was characterized by modesty and restraint. The war broke this man's life. _x000D_ Unfortunately, his memories of this time have not been preserved. We can only imagine what kind of inhuman torments, hardships, torments he had to endure in Shiroklag. But there are poems that convey the emotional pain of those who were unjustly sent to GULAG. The camp was new, with secret police, with a pack of dogs, slave labor, hard, worse than Shiroklag prison. The gate is wide, with an arch, There was a sentry on the tower. A sentinel with a learned shepherd dog was on duty at night sometimes. There the Kalmyks died like flies from various diseases ... The head watched the brigade labour and demanded to fulfill the plan ... Today we realize at what a huge price was paid for the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Among those who contributed was Badma Kokuevich Sangadzhiev. For his military services in 1985, he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree (No. of award document: 87; date of award document: 04/06/1985; entry No. 1519668401).

My grandfather, Tyutenkov Sergey Ivanovich, a native of the village of Kazanka, Sladkovsky district, Tyumen region, was born on August 10, 1918. In 1939 he was drafted into the army, his wife Praskovya Petrovna and little son Yuri stayed at home. In 1941, when the war began, he was 22 years old. He fought in Belarus. The first days were the hardest. The fascist attacked with terrible force. Attack after attack, the Red Army was holding on to the last bullet. He fought with his fellow countryman Evgeny Vasilievich Vasiliev. They were stuck together. After the bloody combat, they both cried and rejoiced that they remained alive. Day after day there was a damned war, the German was advancing, and the order was received from the headquarters to retreat. They were leaving village after village to the enemy, retreated with combats through the forests, through the Belarusian swamps. _x000D_ At the end of September 1941, retreating, they came to the village at night. There was a hut on the edge of the village, where they knocked. Old woman came out and said that there were no Germans, and let them into the house. There were several of them, among them was a commanding officer. They asked to stay until dawn. _x000D_ The Russian bath was heated, they washed, ate and lay down to rest. This old woman quietly got up, went out of the hut and brought the Germans. The Germans in cars with machine guns and dogs surrounded the hut and took them all out into the street. My grandfather asks our soldier who understood German: "Will they shoot us?"And he quietly whispered to him that thyw would be taken prisoners. The old woman pointed to the Commander to the Germans. The Germans seized him and took him away, and so his grandfather never saw him again. My grandfather had been in a concentration camp in Germany. In 1945, Soviet troops liberated him, and he continued to fight. _x000D_ He participated in the capture of Koenigsberg. And at home all this time his wife Praskovya was waiting, she worked in the rear and every day she was waiting for letters from him. During all this time there was not a single letter from him. Praskovya wrote to Moscow, an answer was received that he was missing in action. A loving heart waited and felt that he was alive. _x000D_ My grandfather lived a long life, after the war he worked as a starshina on a livestock farm in his native kolkhoz. He did not like to talk about the war and remember those terrible days of his youth. My grandfather was awarded the medal "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", the Order of the Patriotic War of 2nd degree, the medal "For Courage" and other awards.
