Participant in the military operation "Iskra" to break the blockade of Leningrad in 1942-1943. January 30, 1943 is the date of the end of Operation Iskra. The headquarters of the Supreme Command ordered the troops of the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts to inflict "additional blows from the flanks" in order to encircle the enemy's MGinsko-Sinyavin grouping. According to the final plan of the offensive, starting from February 8, 1943, the 54th Army of the Volkhov Front from the Smerdyn area (Smerdynskaya offensive operation) delivered "flank strikes". Thus, on February 10, 1943, the Smerdynsk offensive operation began. Having broken through the enemy's defense sector between the Makaryevskaya Pustyn 'and Smerdynia, our units stumbled upon a well-planned second defensive zone saturated with engineering structures. Insufficient artillery support, terrain conditions affected the course of the offensive. Enemy reserves began to accumulate on the flanks. On February 14, 1943, reserves were thrown into the offensive: the 58th separate rifle brigade, numbering 5463 people, including Siberians and the 7th Guards Tank Brigade, which were combined into a mobile group. After February 16, the offensive of the entire strike group of the 54th Army was suspended. In response, the Germans launched a series of attacks from the flanks and along the Lezna River, cut off part of the units of the mobile group of Soviet troops. On the night of February 20-21, the encircled units of the 58th brigade made their way to the army units with huge losses. A little more than 100 people left the entourage. On February 20, the offensive of the 54th Army was suspended. Soviet troops went on the defensive. The 58th brigade was awarded the rank of the Guards. For 12 days, from 10 to 22 February 1943, this area became an absolute hell, our soldiers performed hundreds of feats, thousands of lives were given in the name of protecting Leningrad in the forests and swamps of the Tosno region. The fallen 58th separate rifle brigade of the 54th army of the Volkhov front, which took part in that operation, included private Petr Ivanovich Khramtsov. Khramtsov P.I. listed as missing in the period from 14 to 22 February 1943 in the Smerdyn area of the Tosno district of the Leningrad region. Khramtsov P.I. On February 18, 1943, he received a shrapnel wound in his legs and was being treated in 2229 Surgical Field Mobile Hospital (HPPG). From the memoirs of P.I. Khramtsov, told by his daughter L.P. Parygina. “… Being on the battlefield after another attack at dusk on February 18 with broken legs among the dead, he believed death was not so much from blood loss as from freezing. Help came from a sanitary dog, who found me, alive, among the corpses, and saved me from death. There was no strength to bandage himself with bandages from the medical bag attached to the collar. He pulled out a special stick from the collar and put it in the dog's teeth. After a while, the dog brought me an orderly and then, in a harness, brought me to the medical center, then I got to the evacuation hospital ... ”.

Title: Red Army soldier Type of troops: Artillery He got to the front after Bryansk region was liberated in September 1943. Having suffered in Nazi captivity from the atrocities of the Nazis, the guys themselves came to the newly organized military registration and enlistment offices. He comes from the small village of Baikovo, near Karachev. He helped bring shells to the artillerymen when there were fierce battles for Karachev. In the army, he was assigned to a rifle unit. After two weeks of training, they sent a submachine gunner to the front with a marching company. In a respite between battles, when their part was taken to rest, the artillery commanders who came to them took away several people. So he became an artilleryman. He was short, but nimble, quick-witted, he caught military training on the fly. In the battles for Vitebsk, he was already appointed the gunner of the 76-mm gun. In the summer of 1944, their artillery regiment of the 30th rifle division was all the time in the combat formations of the infantry, supporting the advancing companies and battalions with fire. Especially fierce battles unfolded on the outskirts of the city of Borisov. The fascists in one of the sectors of our defense launched a counteroffensive. The rifle company was pushed aside. But further the gunners did not allow them to advance. The battery was at the forefront of the enemy attack. The explosions of shells and mines, the whistle of machine-gun bursts did not stop, did not pin down our gunners. Neglecting the danger, Khokhlov, with his crew, quickly rolled the gun out of cover in his hands and began to shoot the enemy infantry with direct fire, suppressed several machine-gun nests. The fascists could not stand such a friendly fire, Seeing the support of the artillerymen, our infantry rose in a swift attack. On that day, they drove the enemy for more than ten kilometers. He took part in the liberation of the Belarusian city of Molodechno, the Lithuanian city of Alytus, near the Pillau fortress on the Baltic coast. For several days, infantry, artillery, naval paratroopers destroyed the encircled group of Nazis on the narrow sandy spit of Frisch Nerung. Already when the battle subsided, a shell that exploded a few steps away heavily concussed Ivan Mikhailovich. He met Victory Day in one of the field hospitals. For this reason, he was early demobilized.

Fighter pilot, participant of the Great Patriotic War from the first to the last day. Before the war, he lived in Leningrad, worked, studied at a flight course. From the first days of the war he was drafted into aviation. He recalled: “... constant raids and bombing by the Germans haunted our small group. We slept on planes, food was brought to our cars. You will forget a little, and again the order - “Air! Air!". We took off immediately. They fought back. Many of our people were shot down, but we did not remain in debt either. He himself was hit, woke up already in the hospital. On another occasion, he was surrounded by German aircraft. I was the squadron commander and they decided to take me prisoner. Above, below and on the sides of the enemy vehicles. I saw the smoke of a burning factory ahead and sent the car there, the Germans lost me. Another time he was shot down in the Luga area, and ended up in a group of soldiers leaving the encirclement. I was the only one who had a map. Brought everyone out. " After the exhausting battles of the first months of the war, some were sent to rest and reorganized in Kadnikov, Vologda Oblast (November 1941). Do you know what it is like to go into battle when no one is waiting for you at home? " ... Battles near Moscow, then near Stalingrad. Letters, translations. But a year later, the first wife and son were found. Genka, son, was burned in that bombing, he has scars for life. Letters and transfers to Sokol stopped. The family of the head physician of the evacuation hospital lived in our apartment, she helped to find my father, arrange alimony. In the regiment, my father was called Peter for his outward resemblance to Peter the Great, which is why my patronymic is written in my documents "Petrovna".
