As a schoolboy he sent his first, still very uncertain poems to the children's magazine "Oktyabr Balasy" ("Child of October"), the editor of which was Musa Jalil. After studying at the Paranginsk Teachers' Training College (Mari ASSR), Gaynan Kurmashev worked for several years as a teacher in Paranginsk Raion and Aktobe. He was in charge of school amateur art activities and for some time combined his teaching activities with the duties of an art director in one of the clubs of his native city. At the age of 19, he was appointed school director. In 1939, Gainan Kurmashev was drafted into the army. He graduated from the school of junior commanders, received the title of junior lieutenant. He took part in combat operations of the Soviet-Finnish war. Before the beginning of the Patriotic War, he served in the Gomel region. In the army Gaynan studied radio modeling. This fact, as well as the reputation of a reliable in all respects person predetermined the decision of the military leadership to throw him into the enemy's rear with a special task. In doing so, Gaynan was taken prisoner, where he became one of the leaders of an underground organization in the "Idel-Ural" legion. In February 1944, the Second German Imperial Court sentenced Gaynan Kurmashev to death. The sentence was carried out in Pletcensee prison on the guillotine on August 25, 1944 at 12:06. By the Decree of the President of the USSR of May 5, 1990, Gainan Kurmashev was posthumously awarded the Order of the "Patriotic War" of I degree - for courage and heroism, active underground activities against the Nazi invaders.

Kornienko Vasily Stepanovich, in a number of documents of different years there is another patronymic - Stefanovich. He took the military oath on February 23, 1943. He entered the deadly battle with the Nazis in the early days of March 1943. At that time he was eighteen years old. Vasily Stepanovich took part in heavy battles with the enemy in the North Caucasus, then fought - first in the 683rd rifle regiment of the 151st rifle division at the 4th Ukrainian front, and then in the 4th Guards airborne rifle regiment of the 2nd Guards airborne division of the 17th Guards rifle corps of the 1st Guards army at the 1st Ukrainian front. He took part in liberation of towns and villages in the south of Ukraine and Western Ukraine. In summer 1944 (July 19 and August 14), Vasily Stepanovich was wounded: he received a contusion and bullet wound in his right shoulder. He was sent to a hospital in Kolomyia (Stanislavskaya, and now Ivano-Frankivsk region) for treatment. After recovering, he returned to his unit again. And then there were no less bloody battles with the Nazis in southern Poland and Czechoslovakia, where in May 1945 the war ended for him. Vasily Stepanovich started his fighting career as an ordinary machine-gunner, then became the commander of the department of machine-gun company, a mortar gunner, and finished it in the rank of senior sergeant in the Guard as the commander of the mortar squad of 82 and 120 mm mortars. Vasiliy Stepanovich returned to his native village only in 1950 after he was dismissed from the army to the reserve. He immediately went to work as a combine operator at MTS (machine and tractor station). He worked as selflessly as he had fought. And this is confirmed by the fact that in 1955, as a participant of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition in Moscow, he was awarded the medal of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition. In 1962 he was awarded the title of "The Best Mechanizer of Stavropol" for his achievements in the competition and conscientious work. In March 1963, V.S. Kornienko was elected a deputy of the Sergievskoye Rural Council of Workers' Deputies of Alexandrovskoye District of Stavropol Territory. Later, his health, which was undermined at the front and at the combine harvester's hard work, his illness and doctors' advice prompted him to leave the combine harvester. Vasily Stepanovich began working on the fields as a sprinkler driver and was the foreman. Then he retired. He was very good at technique. There were no unsolvable puzzles for him in repairing his motorcycle and tractor, and different engines. Vasily Stepanovich also easily mastered Zaporozhets, which was given to him as he was a war invalid. He was often visited by his fellow villagers for advice and help in restoring their "iron horses". Vasily Stepanovich's labor and military merits were marked by the Orders of the Great Patriotic War of I and II degree, the Order of Glory of III degree, medals "For the defense of the Caucasus", "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "Veteran of Labor" and nine more medals.

Troops: Ground Forces, Air Force (except marine aviation), Coast Guard, NKVD, Border Guard. Division: 4th Guards Bryansk long-range aviation division. The story of a Great Patriotic War veteran "My Grandfather-Mortar". The battle is a holy and right. Deadly battle is not for glory, for life on earth... I want to tell about my grandfather, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War of Crimea Dagir Satushevich, born in 1922. At the beginning of the war, he served in the Red Army, then he was sent to the front. At that time he was 19 years old. From 1941 to October 1942, he was a mortar thrower of the 196th regiment, then 2 rifle regiments of the 533rd Guards. He was wounded in the right arm and was taken to hospital. After the recovery he fought in the 16th Cavalry Regiment and was an assistant to the platoon. For the liberation of the cities of Kiev, Stalingrad and others, he was awarded the Order of Great Patriotic War, 1st degree, and the Order of Great Patriotic War, 2nd degree. Dagir Satushevich was a courageous, responsible, brave mortar thrower. He marched through Poland, Czechoslovakia, Germany, participated in the battles for Prague, Berlin. About the heroic deeds of Krymaev D.S. testify the Order of "Patriotic War", the medal for the capture of Berlin and many others. For him, the war ended in June 1945 in Germany, from where he returned to his native land of Dagestan in Khasavyurt district. Since then, my grandfather began a peaceful labor activity in the collective farm "Aksai". He married my grandmother Ibavova Gyavahan, raised 5 sons and 3 daughters. My grandfather died on May 24, 1979 from a fragment received during the war. Since those old years, there have been preserved awards, photographs of our grandfather, clippings from newspapers, which describe combat and labor victories, and letters of commendation. We carefully keep the memory of him, pass it on from generation to generation. We are proud of our ancestor! The memory of every warrior of the Great Patriotic War does not fade as long as their children and grandchildren are alive, as long as we are interested in the terrible events of the war, which took so many lives and made millions of people miserable...
