Vasiliev Nikiforovich Dmitrievich

Born in 1909, he was drafted for military service on mobilization by the Lenin Military Industrial Complex in July 1941. He took the military oath of allegiance to his Homeland on November 7, 1941. He took part in battles with the Nazi invaders as part of the Western, Southwestern, and First Ukrainian Fronts as commander of the T-34 battalion, 2nd tank Battalion, and the 162nd Novogorod Tank Brigade of the Order of Kutuzov. Awarded: two Orders of the Red Star, the Medal for Bravery, For Military Merit, three medals for the Capture of cities, For the Liberation of Prague, For the Capture of Berlin, For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree".
