Georgy Semenovich Karabutov was born on May 5, 1911 in Kotlyarevskaya station, now Maisky city. After leaving school he worked as a mechanic in Kotlyarevsky scutching plant. He headed the Komsomol organization of the plant. In 1931 he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Red Army and was sent to a cavalry regiment in Tbilisi. In 1932 Georgy Semenovich Karabutov, at his request, went to the city of Yeysk in the school to work as a teacher.
