Dadaev Nikolai Alexevich Rank: major General. Branch of service: army, air force (except marine aviation), the coast guard, the troops of the NKVD border troops. Unit: 67th cavalry division. Dedaev Nikolai Alekseevich was born on October 25, 1897 in the village of tagay, sengileyevsky district, Simbirsk province. Major General (4.6.1940), commander of the 67th rifle division. N. A. Dedaev was awarded the order of the red banner for his military services. From July 1921-assistant head of the school of the 2nd cavalry division. In December 1924, he graduated from the Leningrad higher cavalry school of the red army and was appointed commander and military Commissar of the 29th cavalry regiment of the 5th cavalry division. In may 1933, he graduated from the military Academy named after M. V. Frunze, after which he was appointed assistant commander of the 12th cavalry division, from January 1934-commander and military Commissar of a separate combined mountain nationalities cavalry regiment, commander and military Commissar of the 127th cavalry regiment. From March 1937, Nikolai Alekseevich was at the disposal of the Department for command and command staff of the red army, assistant commander of the 29th cavalry division, from June 1938-the 5th cavalry corps, then from October 1939-commanded the 25th cavalry division. As a division commander, he participated in the Soviet-Finnish war (1939-1940). For courage, Nikolai Alekseevich was awarded the order of the red Star. Later-commander of the 22nd cavalry division, from March 14, 1941-commander of the 67th rifle division, which was stationed in the area of the Latvian town-sea base Liepaja (Libava). As part of the 8th army of the North-Western front, from the first days of the great Patriotic war, he fought with his division against the Nazis on the outskirts of Liepaja. Being a talented military commander, the day before the war Began, N. Dedaev gave the order to withdraw troops from the barracks for training and disperse them 15-25 km around the city. Thus, the first wave of Nazi bombers bombed the empty barracks of the garrison. On the third day of the fighting, June 24, General Dedaev, while on the CP of the division, received a fatal wound as a result of artillery fire. On the same day, the retreating soldiers of the Liepaja garrison buried him in a mass grave on the territory of the naval hospital. In the summer of 1947, he was reburied in the Tosmar cemetery, and in October 1977 - in the Central cemetery of Liepaja.
