Gvozdenko Mikhail Sergeevich. Enlisted in the war on June 23, 1941. Served in the 88th Infantry Regiment, 1st Guards Rifle Division of the Southwestern Front. In battles near the city of Orel, he was wounded in the shoulder and lost an eye. For courage and bravery demonstrated in combat, awarded two orders: "Order of the Red Star," "Order of the Patriotic War" 1st degree, and other medals. Born September 2, 1911. Died November 2, 1992.
