Ignatov Ivan Petrovich

Type of troops: Engineering troops. Subdivision: 32nd Guards Rifle Taman Red Banner Order of Suvorov Division. I want to tell you about my grandfather Ignatov Ivan Petrovich, who was born in 1911 in the village of Karaul, Inzhavinsky district, Tambov region. When the war began in 1941, my grandfather was 30 years old. He was married and lived in Ukraine. And his wife, my grandmother Raisa Titovna, with three children was evacuated from Ukraine. During the crossing of the Volga River on a ferry, they were bombed by the Germans. My father Valery Ivanovich was born in 1941 right on the Volga during the bombing of the Battle of Stalingrad. They went through a lot. But people then helped each other in difficult times. They also helped my grandmother with three children. Meanwhile, my grandfather Ivan Petrovich was already fighting the Germans. He fought the entire war on different fronts: - from 1939 to October 1941. cadet and commander of a sapper platoon of the 389th Infantry Regiment, Odessa Military District; - from 1941 to 1942 deputy the commander of the sapper company of the 2nd squad of the sapper battalion of the 26th rifle brigade, North Caucasian front; - from 1942 to 1943 engineer squadron commander, chief of engineering service of the 9th Kuban Cossack division, Southern Front; - since 1943 commander of a separate battalion of an infantry division. He was a sapper officer. Was injured. At the front he joined the CPSU. My grandfather went to Konigsberg, where he ended the war. My dad used to say that for my grandfather, the war was the main event in his life. He could talk about the war for hours, recollect various frontline incidents, recollect his fighters-comrades. I saw photographs of Ivan Petrovich. All his chest was in orders and medals: Order of the Red Star No. 448156, Order of the Patriotic War I degree No. 56627, Order of the October Revolution No. 13022, Order of the Patriotic War No. 1921951, Order of Alexander Nevsky No. 22140; medals - "For Courage" No. 256929, "For the Defense of the Caucasus" No. 049488, "For the capture of Konigsberg" No. 236224, "For Victory over Germany" No. 0216634; 5 Jubilee medals, "For Valiant Labor", "Veteran of Labor". He was constantly invited to speak to schoolchildren and workers. May 9th was the main holiday. Grandfather put on a ceremonial uniform with orders and medals and went to the parade. He had the rank of retired major. Until his very last days, he was vigorous, fit, true to his ideals. Many people were killed during the war. They fought for their homeland, for their loved ones. It is a pity that now there are not many veterans left alive. My grandfather also died in 1998. I would like the younger generation to remember their history, to love their Motherland - Russia. Honored their heroes. Known and unknown. And I want to end with the words of the front-line poet Alexander Tvardovsky: I know, it’s not my fault that others didn’t come from the war. The fact that they - who are older, who are younger - Remained there and not about the same speech, That I could, but could not save them, It's not about that, but still, nevertheless, nevertheless ....

Garusov Nikolay Afanasievich

My great-grandfather, Nikolai Afanasevich Garusov, was born in 1926 in a small Belarusian village. When the war began, he was 14 years old. For the first time, the Nazis occupied the territory of Belarus. The older brothers were taken to Germany. Great-grandfather managed to hide. And, for 3 long years, he lived with his mother and younger sister in a dugout, because the village was burned down by the Nazis. From the stories of my great-grandfather, I know what a terrible time it was: hunger, devastation, shelling, fires. As a boy, my great-grandfather saw terrible pictures of executions, saw how partisans were hanged and tortured. And he himself was on the verge of death several times. In 1944, Soviet troops liberated Belarus. At the age of 18, my great-grandfather was taken into the army. In 1945 he entered the active army. The hostilities took place in Japan. In heavy battles with the Japanese, my great-grandfather was wounded, and was awarded medals for bravery and courage. The Japanese started this war to divert the forces of the Soviet army from the fight against the Nazis. But the courage and valor of the Soviet soldiers did not allow these plans to come true. 71 years separate us from that great victory day in 1945. But even today my great-grandfather remembers that distant time and his deceased comrades with tears in his eyes. Served: 16th separate order of the Red star moto-sapper battalion. The beginning of hostilities in China near the Great Khingan Mountain. The first battle is the Salun station. The battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Polishchuk. Before the offensive, the battalion's task was to clear mined areas for the offensive of the main Soviet troops.

He made his way from an ordinary soldier to a petty officer of the Guards 482 of a separate cable-pole company of the 39th Army. The main task of the telephone-costruction company was the creation and maintenance of temporary overhead telephone-construction communication lines. For this, special tests with an insulator were used, on which various types of cables were attached. The 39th army took part in the hostilities of the Kalinin, Zapodny, 3rd Belarusian, 1st Baltic fronts. participated in the Moscow and Rzhev battles. The 39th army took part in the Vitebsk, Belorussian, Baltic, East Prussian operations. Together with the 482 separate telephone-construction company, Sergeant Major Nikolai Danilovich Troshin marched to Western Europe. In May June 1945, the 39th Army was redeployed to Mongolia and on June 20 was included in the Trans-Baikal Front. Its composition took part in the Soviet-Japanese War of 1945. Tishalovich Semen Fadeevich

Branch of troops: Engineering troops_x000D_ _x000D_ Tishalovich Semyon Fadeevich (04.06.1923 – 25.09.2015) was drafted into the army in June 1944, when Soviet troops liberated Belarus. At that time, my great-grandfather was 21 years old. Grandfather Semyon carried out an extremely dangerous service: he was a sapper in the 196th Lezny engineer-sapper Battalion of the 29th engineer-sapper brigade of the 6th Guards Army of the 1st Baltic Front. The front was commanded by General of the Army I. Kh. Bagramyan. _x000D_ Grandpa Semyon was a part of many crucial battles. He took part in the liberation of Belarus and the Baltic states (in the defeat of the German Army Group Center). Supporting the offensive of the 1st Baltic Front, the engineering troops were engaged in the Construction of bridges and crossings, and cleared minefields. During my grandfather's service, the Germans more than once organized counterattacks in different sectors of the front. And his sapper brigade always arrived at the forefront when there were messages about the intention of the enemy to attack. They planted mines in the fields, warning the actions of the fascists. _x000D_ Once, during a German offensive with the use of heavy tanks "Tiger" on the mines of grandfather Semyon, two enemy tanks were blown up at once. For this efforts he was awarded the medal "For Courage". He has many other medals and orders. _x000D_ Grandfather celebrated Victory Day in Latvia. After the end of the war, he continued to serve. The sappers had enough work - they cleared the places of past battles. And only in the spring of 1947 he returned to his native village Katilovo, Vitebsk region, where he lived until the end of his days. Together with his grandfather Semyon, his brother Fadey and two brothers-in-law, brothers Peter and Vladimir Petrovsky, fought. After the war, grandfather Semyon worked for 30 years on a tractor, growing grains. For these efforts, he was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor" in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. I. Lenin. _x000D_ Grandfather Semyon lived a long, eventful life. However, his memories of the war have always remained clear and accurate. He remembered everything that happened to him during the war, down to the last detail, and loved to share his memories with us: children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. At the end of September 2015, Semyon's grandfather passed away. However, the memory of his efforts, contribution to history, to the defense of our Motherland is forever alive with us.

George Fedorovich Dunaev

George Fedorovich Dunaev Rank: Corporal branch of service: army corps of engineers, My mother, Belyayeva (Dunaeva) Vera Georgievna says: "My father, George F. Dunaev, was born on 21.08.1914. (in some documents is 1915) in the village of Otrok Idrinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk territory. The family had four sisters and two brothers. In 1939, he was called up by the Idrinsky RVC to join the red army, where he became a participant in the Finnish war. From the Finnish war, he immediately found himself on the front of the great Patriotic war. He did not like to talk about the war, but on Victory Day he always remembered his friends, fellow soldiers, and even cried. In my childhood memory, I remember some moments from his stories. So, he met the war in Western Ukraine, somewhere in the Lviv region. He had a friend, a Ukrainian by the name of Women. One day they were ambushed and ran with him across a small river, followed by German tanks. One gun was firing at the tanks. When they got to it, they found that the girl had fired direct fire. They began to bring shells. Then all three of them ran. And suddenly the girl ran back, but did not have time to shoot. It was crushed by a tank and a gun. At this time the German shot from the pistol and hit him in the chest Community. His chest was torn open, and for the first time in his life, his father saw his heart beating. A friend died before his eyes, and he himself escaped in the forest. My father served in an engineering battalion. It was terrible at the crossings, when enemy planes flew by, people seemed to lose their minds. He was struck by one incident: a young dead woman was lying, and a baby was crawling on her, people were rushing around. And you have to take this pain away and run to do your job-to direct the pontoon. At the beginning of the war – the first wound, the first award-the medal "for bravery", which he greatly appreciated. The train with the wounded was taken towards the Caucasus, but under the White Church was bombed. The paramedics dropped his stretcher, and he hit himself and came to. I crawled as best I could, fighting the pain. It saved his life. The hospital, and then Stalingrad. It was hell. It seemed that the earth and sky were mixed, the Volga was burning (oil spilled over it). Enemy planes bombed incessantly, especially the crossings. The city lay in ruins. Once we received an order: a few kilograms of tal for each of us and crawl to the buildings where the Germans were holed up. And there is a steppe, everything is at a glance. The commander was well aware that this was a senseless loss of life (platoon). He canceled the order and was taken away 40 minutes later. My father always said that the order "Not a step back, there is no land for us beyond the Volga" was relevant. And for some reason, he believed that Stalin was right to quickly expel the ethnic Germans of the Volga region. Even my Siberian father had a hard time that winter, because the uniforms were out of season. When the attack and closure of the boiler, they connected with other parts in the area of the Kalach station. When the German prisoners were taken out, it was terrible to look at them. They were frostbitten, ragged people who looked like some kind of rabble, but not the warriors who were in the beginning. Then there was the Kursk bulge. Here he noted that for the first time during the war there was a large number of our equipment. If at the beginning of the fighters watched in the sky single battles of our "hawks", which were unspeakably happy, then here the planes went in batches to bomb each other's positions. There was a powerful artillery preparation. There were two fighters who were brothers, they met for the first time, only had time to hug and went on the attack. Their further fate is unknown. There was also a curious case when crossing the don (at night). The boat was smashed by the explosion, and my father was in the water. He caught hold of a log, and it was very slippery. In the flash, I saw that it was a fish. He had never seen such a fish in Siberia, and was amazed. As I later found out, it was a catfish. My father ended the war in East Prussia, and was wounded at the capture of Konigsberg. These were bloody battles. There were few survivors of the regiment. He met Victory day in the hospital. A leg wound always bothered him. At the front, he joined the party. My father was not a coward, but he always said that war is scary, just don't have time to think about it. For him, the worst thing was when they bombed. An unpleasant feeling from the howl of a falling bomb, it seemed that it was flying straight at you. Has awards. But it is difficult to describe in detail now, because after 23 years of marriage, my parents separated, and my father left. But our family always honored and remembered this page of my father's life. He is the real George the victorious.

Danilkin Alexey Pavlovich

Danilkin Alexey Pavlovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Red army soldier Type of troops: Engineering troops My father Danilkin Alexey Pavlovich was born on March 21, 1923 in d.Katlanovo, Belevsky district,Tula region. In January 1942, after graduating from the sapper school, he was called up to the front by the Belevsky district military Commissariat, Tula region. From January to may 1942, he participated in the combat operations of the Bryansk front for the liberation of the Oryol region in the direction from Belev to Bolkhov and Orel as a sapper. By the beginning of January 1942, the troops of the Bryansk front, pursuing the enemy and knocking down his barriers, reached the border: Belev, Mtsensk, The Upper Part, Antiquated. After the end of the counteroffensive near Moscow, the Stavka instructed our troops to launch a General offensive in the Western strategic direction. The troops of the Bryansk front were assigned the task of conducting an offensive in the Belev, Livny strip in the Bolkhovsky and Oryol directions. Fulfilling this Task, the troops of the 61st army in the first half of January went on the offensive in the Bolkhov direction and advanced several tens of kilometers. The front troops went on the defensive and did not conduct active combat operations until the summer of 1942. In may 1942, the Stalinist corps was formed in Moscow, where a group of sappers was sent.Since June 1942, until the departure to the front, the scientific process was activated. Classes were held on a 3-month combat training program .After graduating, A. p. Danilkin got to a transfer point in Moscow. Further, the front-line path of Danilkin Alexey Pavlovich took place as part of the 8th Estonian corps. From November 1942 to January 1943, he participated in the combat operations of the Kalinin front as a sapper of the 28th separate sapper battalion in the 8th Estonian corps. On October 21, 1942, parts of the corps loaded into echelons and went to the front. Along the way, the trains were subjected to air raids, shelling and bombing. So the corps suffered the first combat losses in personnel and military equipment-21 people were killed and the same number was wounded. The battle of Velikiye Luki was the corps ' baptism of fire. The fighting in the city blocks, equipped by the Germans as long-term fortifications, was fierce and bloody. 75 % of the corps personnel were knocked out of action (wounded, killed, missing) Particularly fierce fighting broke out at the railway station, where German military engineers managed to create a strongly fortified system of bunkers and pillboxes, each of which had to be stormed by independent mobile groups. The railway station was taken on January 13, 1943. A feature of the fighting in January 1943 was the active actions of mobile, small and effective assault groups, staffed by sappers and gunners. January 10, 1943 During the liberation of the railway station, my father A. p. Danilkin was seriously wounded in the head and legs on the roof of the railway station. Lost consciousness, lay unconscious in the cold for a long time, miraculously survived, he was picked up. A leg was amputated in a hospital in Chita. The monuments on the mass graves of the Estonian corps soldiers on the high Bank of the lovati river near Velikiye Luki preserve the eternal memory of these battles. I consider my dad a real hero who contributed to the Great Victory at the cost of his health. After the war, he worked as a teacher for 35 years. For services to the Fatherland, Alexey Danilkin was awarded the Order of glory of the III-degree, the order of the Patriotic war of the I degree, the medal "for courage" and other medals.
