Born into a peasant family, survived the famine of 1933. He began his career at the age of 13 at a water pumping station. Was drafted into the Red Army in 1938 in the 4th narrow-gauge railway battalion. The beginning of the war, June 22, 1941 met on the territory of Western Belarus, station Gromy of the Polotsk region. With the remnants of the battalion, they retreated to Vitebsk, took part in the defense of the city, then retreated to Smolensk, where they restored the railway lines. All this time, Georgy Melantievich kept the banner of the regiment, which included the 4th narrow-gauge railway battalion. Thanks to this selfless act, the regiment was not disbanded. Then Georgy Melantievich ended up in the health regiment in the town of Kulebaki, Gorky region, then he was trained as a Sherman tank driver. From the 52nd company of the 4th narrow-gauge railway battalion it was transferred to the 55th Armored Train Division. The location of the armored locomotive st. Gorbachevo of the Kursk road. The armored steam locomotive carried its combat service on the Skuratovo-Chern-Mtsensk-Tula line, the armored steam locomotive was serviced at the Likhabori depot (Moscow) - Moscow Kurskaya 2. During the hostilities near Mtsensk, the carriages in which our soldiers and officers were located took place. The carriages began to roll back to the front line. An armored steam locomotive under the control of the machinist Sergeant Georgy Melantievich overtook the cars and towed them to a safe distance. The fascists were shocked by such actions and did not offer proper resistance. Taking part in the battles near the city of Mtsensk, the armored locomotive under the control of Georgy Melantyevich inflicted a major defeat on the German troops and left the battle without loss. For the shown courage and loyalty, the command gave the Gratitude. By order of the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Railways, he was demobilized in 1944 to rebuild the country. They wrote about him in the newspaper "Put Ilyich" for January 6, 1961. Received the title of the best in the profession. He was an unusually talented, humble and hardworking person.

Khirny Ivan Ivanovich was born on June 6, 1922 in the village of Elshanka, Orenburg region. 06/14/1941 he was drafted into the army. This is how he himself recalls this time. Recorded from the personal memoirs of I. I. Khirny "I was drafted into active service in the army on June 14, 1941. There were 75 of us from Saraktash, almost everyone knew each other, they saw us off merrily with accordions, guitars, songs and dances. I thought that we were parting with family and friends for a long time, and some forever. The war began unexpectedly for us, we did not reach our destination. On June 20, 1941, at dusk, we arrived in the city of Kiev. And on June 21, 1941, at 4 am, German planes began to bomb Kiev. All at this time from the road, tired asleep in the location of the military unit, we could not immediately figure out what was happening, all around explosions, roar, smoke and fire, people cry for help. After the bombing we were all barely gathered. the song says exactly at 4 o'clock, Kiev was bombed and we were told that the war had begun. From the first day we saw the horror of the war and the blood of comrades. I was enlisted in the 436th separate anti-aircraft artillery battalion of the air defense. I had to master military equipment in the field in eye groin and trenches. For a week, the young anti-aircraft gunners explained each number of duties to us, and soon we stood up as a barrier for the capital of Ukraine. For the first time we saw the Germans, what they were doing with our cities, villages, how much grief they brought to the inhabitants of Ukraine. Seeing all this, we quickly mastered military technology and hatred of the enemy, and began to defend the city from enemy air raids. The enemy was superior in strength, we suffered heavy losses, and we experienced the bitterness of retreat. At the end of 1941 we were sent to be re-formed and replenished with human reserves and military equipment. In March 1942, we were sent to the Northern Donets near Kharkov, where fierce battles were going on. The enemy was rushing to Voronezh, we were transferred to Voronezh, South-Western Front. The enemy was striving for the Volga. On June 4, 1942, I was wounded in both legs, I was in hospitals in the city of Engels on the Volga for 2 months and 2 months in the city of Orsk, Orenburg region. He was discharged from the hospital on October 9, 1942. to the reserve regiment. 1943 - Ufa, School of foremen. At the beginning of 1944. back to the front. Met the Victory Day in Romania, Bucharest. "Ivan Ivanovich was awarded: the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree; the Order of Glory; the Order of the Red Banner of Labor; the medal" For the Defense of Stalingrad "; the" Veteran of Labor "medal.

Death camp. During the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), many prisoners of war ended up in concentration camps. I want to tell you about my grandfather, who was involved in an underground partisan movement, because of that he was captured by the Germans. During the years of occupation, the Nazis carried out about 150 punitive operations, during which they completely destroyed 5,445 villages. There were about 250 Soviet prisoner of war camps on the territory of Belarus. This was due to the fact that Borisov was a railway junction on the way to Moscow. The Germans wanted to get there quickly from Brest, so a partisan movement was created to defend the country. The partisans blew up trains in the direction of Moscow and German echelons. My grandfather - Khomich Ivan Yemelyanovich - was born on April 28, 1902 in the village of Gora, Borisov district, Minsk region. During the hostilities, he disappeared (approximately in 1944-1945). After the end of the war, my grandmother requested information on her lost husband. The response from the German archives shocked everyone. At first, Ivan Emelyanovich was kept in a camp near Borisov, from which he twice tried to escape, but it did not work ... Later, the partisans tried to buy my grandfather from the Germans, but luck bypassed him twice. After a while, in a huge composition, he and the rest of the prisoners were taken in columns to Germany. Then he ended up in one of the largest and most terrible camps - Buchenwald (from August 15, 1944 to April 1945). As you know, about 250 thousand people were imprisoned in this camp, where most of them were barbarously killed. To this day, the camp documentation on medical experiments on prisoners has been preserved. Prisoners were infected with terrible diseases such as tuberculosis and typhus. After Buchenwald, Khomich Ivan ends up in the Dachau camp. As you know, this camp was also engaged in medical experiments, where the main goal was to study the possibility of controlling people's behavior. On May 9, 1945, my grandfather was released, but on May 10 (the next day) he dies at the walls of the Dachau camp. As we know from archival data, the death was associated with diarrhea, which he received in connection with the experiments. In the village of Glivina, Borisov district, a stele was installed for partisans who fought in the Borisov region during the war. Khomich Ivan Yemelyanovich is included in the list of “missing” (personal number of the prisoner 73582). I am immensely proud of my ancestry and endlessly grateful to my grandfather for the clear sky above my head. We have never seen him or will see each other, but I will forever preserve his history as a memory of a brave soldier.

My great-grandfather was drafted into the ranks of the RRK on September 1, 1941 and sent to Omsk to study in a mortar school based on the Omsk Infantry School. On November 10, 1941, he, together with other Surgutyans from Omsk, were sent by echelons first to Padyuga, Arkhangelsk region, and then, at the beginning of February 1942, to the Kalinin front, to the Ostashkovo area, where they arrived on 02/12/1942. From where they made a heavy march to Nelidovo in the Tver (Kalinin) region. Not much has been written about the plight of our troops in this area and the fighting - our losses were too great. Stubborn battles were fought for every piece of land. Many of our fellow countrymen were also killed. From a letter dated 30.03.42 (without amendments) “I further inform that Smirnova A.I. haven't seen it for a long time. I saw it in Paduga, but I haven't seen it here. I do not know not alive. Their school took part in the battle. I do not know not alive. Some of the Surgut guys are no longer alive - Toropchaninov, Semyon Popov and others were killed. I haven't seen Spirin for a long time. Chutin is not killed…. In addition, I also inform you that Comrade Komlev was killed on March 25 or 26 with a mine ... ”Great-grandfather fought in the 22nd Army, 362th Infantry Division, 1210th Infantry Regiment, in the minibatalion, first in a supply platoon, and from 09.06.42 in the 2nd mortar company. From a letter dated April 25, 1942 “For the third month now we have been expecting that they will soon change, but we cannot wait for the change so far. Spring is already in full swing here. Almost all snow melted in 4-5 days. The weather is good and my heart is happy, so hunt and fish if I was at home…. Of the Surgut guys, I see only Korobov. I haven’t seen any nepokoev somewhere in the courses of political instructors… ”From the last letter of 12.06.42 -“ At the moment I am in almost the same place in the Kalinin region, only from the supply platoon I was transferred to the ministry on June 9th. Now I am in the company together with Nikolai Chernomysovsky Tugorinov. His family lives on the Black Cape in Zaton ... We are standing in the forest on the front line, we are on the defensive. We are at a distance of 3-4 km from the German .. Every night a machine gun and a mortar crackle, but we listened and do not pay attention, as if this is the way it should be ... " In March 1943, my great-grandmother Agniya Efimovna received a Notice that on 04/07/1942 her husband, Khudyakov Georgy Ilyich, was missing while at the front. Exactly 69 years after the death of 07/02/2011, the remains of my grandfather, and with him the remains of three more soldiers, were found in the Vetka tract in the Oleninsky district of the Tver region, the village of Young Tud. There are still 13 military letters from great-grandfather. Written in pencil, they are difficult to read. The first letter, written on 19.09.41, came from the city of Omsk, PO Box 3534. The last letter was written on 12.06.42. The address in the letter: 1421 field post, 1210 s \ n, mortar battalion, 2nd miner. Red Army soldier Khudyakov G.I. The name of my great-grandfather, like the names of many people from Surgut who did not return from the war, are forever carved on the slabs of the Monument of Glory in Surgut.

Type of troops: Artillery. Division: 172nd Infantry Division (1st Formation). On the radio, Pavlo's grandfather learned about the attack by the German army on the Soviet Union. He was called up to the front by mobilization of the Kamensk Military Commissariat of the Moldavian ASSR on April 17, 1944, as a recruit he was enrolled in the 172 rifle division. I learned that not only young men were called recruits, but even elderly people who had just started military activities ... Studying the chronology of military operations in the spring of 1944, I learned that Pavel Ivanovich was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army on the day when Umansko ended - Botoshan operation, as a result of which the right-bank Ukraine and part of Moldova, including our Transnistria, were liberated. After the end of the Uman-Botoshan operation, the front troops carried out measures to consolidate the liberated territory and bring the troops in order: staffing, repairing military equipment and weapons, organizing a rear service, but on May 14, the 34th Guards Corps began to break through the enemy's defenses in the area between Dubossary and Grigoriopol ... It was in these battles that grandfather Pavlo took part. On the right bank of the Dniester there was the Sherpeni bridgehead, it occupied a plot of land 7-8 km along the front, about 3-4 km deep. The bridgehead was dug up and down with trenches and communication trenches, dug-outs, shelters for horses, firing positions of artillery pieces and mortars. There were trenches ten paces from the coast - the third line of defense. The Germans created a defense around the bridgehead. By July, the rifle corps took up defensive positions in the area of the villages of Shibki and Butor. To repel the attacks of German tanks, a large number of guns were put forward. The enemy troops were defeated. For the first time, my grandfather faced terrible events: injuries of other people, death, the whistle of bullets and the bursting of shells, with exploits and betrayal, here he was seriously wounded in July 1944. Grandfather Pavlo told his children that he did not remember the very moment of the injury. He woke up in the 3807 hospital and was treated there until March 1945. He was treated in the city of Rybnitsa. For the mother, the injury of her son was a terrible pain. And then, having found out where her son was being treated, she walked on foot from the village of Valyadynka to the city of Rybnitsa. Studying the hostilities in the spring of 1944, on the territory of Moldova, I learned that on March 24 Kamenka was liberated from the Nazis, on March 30 - Rybnitsa, on April 12 - Dubossary, Grigoriopol, Tiraspol. By mid-April all Transnistria was liberated from the enemy. After a long treatment, grandfather Pavlo was again in the ranks of the 147th rifle regiment. He participated in the battles during the liberation of Hungary, a few days before the end of the war, the old wound made itself felt and on May 5, 1945, Private Kharhalup again ended up in the 4439 evacuation hospital, where he was treated until August 1945. Grandfather Pavlo met the victorious May 1945 in the hospital. It was a long-awaited and joyful event for all soldiers. And then the long way home, the joy of meeting. Grandfather returned from the war alive, and he devoted his whole life to his family, children and the restoration of the Republic, the Motherland for which he shed blood. All relatives are proud of their hero. Participation in the Great Patriotic War, I think, is already heroism. In peacetime, Kharkhalup Pavel Ivanovich, worked on a collective farm, raised the farm. Together with his wife, Kharhalup Irina Ivanovna, they raised four children: Mikhail, Maria, Peter and Anna. Kharkhalup Pavel Ivanovich died in 2009

Rank: Sergeant. Type of troops: artillery Unit: 112th Cavalry Bashkir Division. The Notepad contains sincere and slightly naive judgments of an ordinary soldier of the Great Patriotic War. “My grandchildren Andrei and Sasha gave me the notebook on Victory Day 1982,” writes Khalidar Muksinovich. - I start it with my military biography, so that my children and grandchildren know who I served, in which units I fought. My "piece of time", where I brought my thoughts during the war years, has already fallen apart, so I have to rewrite them in this diary. " The 112th Bashkir Cavalry Division, where he ended up as a private, began military operations near Voronezh. Then part of them was transferred to Stalingrad. Wounded in November 1942, Khasanov, after being hospitalized in the 224th Infantry Division, continued to fight in the Donbass. After a second wound as a member of the artillery regiment of the 203rd Infantry Division, he reached Czechoslovakia, where he met the end of the Great Patriotic War. In the fall of 1945, he took part in the defeat of Japanese troops in Mongolia and China. He was demobilized with the Order of the Red Star and the Patriotic War and two medals "For Military Merit" on his chest. In Ufa, where he came from the front, he met his betrothed - Markhaba Abdrakhmanovna, who was also a front-line soldier. They got married in 1948 and had ten children. Everyone was raised, taught, raised, made into people. Khalidar Muksinovich died two years ago, leaving to posterity a large number of his invaluable notes. I offer a small piece of text from Khasanov's "piece of time", which describes the last days of the Great Patriotic War. March 24. Received the fourth "toy" (gun). Six people joined the replenishment - Neshalsky, Voginchuk, Ronnov and others. March, 25. During the crossing of the Hron River, Tretyakov, Bychkov, Lukyanchuk and Zaitsev were killed. Sobchenko disappeared without a trace. 26 March. Today Stepanov was wounded at the rate of Lomonosov. April 10th. When we were standing on the outskirts of Senitsa, I met a fellow countryman, senior sergeant Khamidullin from the Buzdyak district. He serves in the 610th joint venture regimental battery as the commander of the "goodbye homeland" ("magpie"). April 11th. Lapeta died today, Akiliev, the driver, was wounded. My gun was also "wounded", so we went to the army workshop. April 12th. Today, having collected some trophies, I sent home a package. April 13. Returning from the army workshop, he received an order to suppress a machine-gun point that interferes with the movement of infantry. Having deployed the cannon, with direct fire, he smashed the house in which the German machine gunner was. 14th of April. Voginchuk died while fighting enemy tanks on a forest road. April 19. Night battle at height 325. Nesterenko, Konev and others were wounded. Many horses died. 20 April. We got into trouble. Lomonosov's cannon is broken again. I left to take it. April 22. Lomonosov brought a new cannon. 26 April. Today they occupied a rather large settlement of Koberzyce, where Lezenko was wounded (for the second time). Our battery fired at the town well, but fortunately there were no casualties. The people in Caberjica were wonderful. The women brought hot food in the evening, helped to bandage the wounded, and the men sat next to us at night in defense with weapons in their hands. April 27. Moldovan Pistol died today. May 2. The Germans smoked us out of Nemchitsa, launching 18 tanks into the attack. The guns of Lomonosov and Kutsenko are broken. Baretsky died. 5 May. At night we were replaced by a Romanian division. When we drove about four kilometers, a machine-gun burst came from the neighboring forest - either the Germans or the Vlasovites. From my calculation old man Seleznev was wounded. For my soldiers, this was the last victim of the war. And the column continued moving without stopping. May 8. At two o'clock in the afternoon the news of the end of the war was received by radio. May 9. Before dawn our artillery regiment concentrated in a pine forest. Here the regiment commander Lieutenant Colonel Kalinin, having built us up, announced the surrender of Germany. But we went in pursuit of the retreating enemy. May 12, 1945. We stopped in the city of Stemberg on the banks of the Zasava River, set up our tents and rested, as in peacetime.

Victory in the Great Patriotic War was won by the Soviet people in the name of peace and life on earth. The war touched every family. Not only those liable for military service went to the front, but also teenagers who had not yet finished school. Boys and girls tried to do everything to help in the fight against the invaders. All the people of the country stood up to defend the Motherland. Among them is my grandmother's brother Mikhail Alexandrovich Khoroshev. Grandfather Misha was born on November 21, 1926 in the village of Chernorechenskaya in the family of rural workers Khorosheva Maria Emilyanovna and Khoroshev Alexander Borisovich. He grew up as an ordinary child, went to school, went fishing, helped his parents with the housework. He loved to joke. When the Great Patriotic War began, he was 15 years old. There were no Germans in the village of Chernorechenskaya, but they settled in the neighboring village of Gofitskoye. The German headquarters was located there. In 1942, in November, a policeman came to the house of my great-grandmother and, at gunpoint, took a 15-year-old teenager across the Laba River to the village of Gofitskoye. Grandpa Misha and other children were forced to look after German horses under threat of execution. The stable is clean and quiet, sparkling with frost on the bolts, along the walls, up to the doors of the boards, the shadow of a bayonet walks behind me. In the winter of 1942, the retreat of the Germans began. Grandfather fled barefoot to Chernorechenskaya, and in 1943 Mikhail Alexandrovich was drafted to the front. He fought in Western Ukraine. In letters home he wrote: "I'm studying to be a radio operator, studying Morse code, I am not far from the front line." My great-grandmother received a few letters from the front from her son. In August 1944, a funeral came from the front: "Your son, Mikhail Alexandrovich Khoroshev, died a heroic death in the village of Tisovitsa, Drohobychevsky district, Lviv region." From that day on, the great-grandmother did not remove the black mourning scarf from her head. Khoroshev Mikhail Aleksandrovich was buried in the mass grave of the village of Strelki, Starosamborsky district, Lviv region. The name of Mikhail Alexandrovich Khoroshev is carved on a memorial plaque, installed in the village of Chernorechenskaya in honor of those who died during the Great Patriotic War. My grandfather died for our happy life, and it is my civic duty to know the past of my family. On May 9, I took part in the Immortal Regiment, carrying a portrait of my grandfather. And I had the feeling that he was walking next to me.

Rank: Sergeant. Type of troops: Artillery. Subdivision: 4th Artillery Division. I am immensely proud that there was a Hero in my family too - my great-grandfather Khanov Galimyan Nigamatianovich. From the words of my grandmother and his daughter, Ramazanova Milyausha Galimyanovna, my great-grandfather learned from childhood all the hardships of a difficult peasant life. To feed his family, his father went to work in neighboring villages, and he remained an indispensable helper for his mother and sisters, looked after cattle, collected firewood, etc. Great-grandfather finished his studies only until the 7th grade, started working early so that a large family could at least somehow make ends meet. After completing the courses in 1936, he worked as a secretary in the Bolshekyzylbaevsky village council. In 1940, my great-grandfather went to war with the White Finns. He could not do otherwise, because he was a communist, defender, patriot of his homeland. In 1941, his great-grandfather fought on the Leningrad front, was the commander of the 412th separate machine-gun and artillery battalion, was wounded. After defeating the Nazis, he continued to fight in the Japanese War and returned only in 1946 to his native collective farm and until 1950 worked as chairman of the Abdulla village council. These years were difficult - the country was recovering from the war. Each person counted, it was also a battle - a labor battle. No one spared any effort or time to help the country get back on its feet. They built houses, erected outbuildings, sowed, plowed, harvested. There was little equipment, but a lot of work. I had to do everything by hand, the old fashioned way. But even here our people survived and won! My great-grandfather was also in the ranks, worked hard, taught young communists. Together with everyone I was at construction sites, fields. He was awarded the Order of Glory III degree (1944), the Veteran of Labor medal (1976), the Order of the Red Star, the Medal for Courage, and the Medal for Victory over Japan. Together with their great-grandmother Kubra Akmalovna, they raised six children. Now they have 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. My great-grandfather died at the age of 69. Until the end of his days, it was hard for him to remember those terrible times of his life. I will remember him, be proud and tell my future children about his deeds in the name of the Motherland, an honest and open life. Low bow for peace and a saved land to all the soldiers who bravely fought for Victory! Honor and glory to you!

Rank: Red Army. Military biography. On the basis of the decision of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, my father Khrenov Ivan Prokhorovich was awarded the Order "RED STAR". In addition to this award, he has other high awards - Orders and Medals. Unfortunately, they are lost. My sister and I are looking for lost awards. Our father was a scout, was surrounded on the Kursk Bulge, carried out the task of destroying the German machine gunners who surrounded the Soviet scouts. In addition to the Kursk Bulge, he was directly involved in other hostilities. He did not really like to remember and talk about the war because was a very humble person. We, his daughters, asked to tell how dad fought, how he was seriously wounded, but he answered us: "I don’t want you to know about the horrors that I experienced." Dad took care of us ... And he himself experienced these horrors as a young 17-year-old boy. To go to the front and defend his homeland, he added one additional year to himself. According to the documents, he went to the front at 18, but in fact, at 17 ... During the day he tried not to talk about the war, and at night in his sleep he continued to fight. My sister and I, from some of the phrases we heard, guessed that in troubled dreams he returned to military operations, carried out commands, went on the attack. Very rarely, he did talk about the war. We know that he had a severe wound in the arm. The bone on the arm was completely shattered. Two large shards protruded from two opposite sides of the arm. At this time, the medical battalion was bombed and it was not possible to do anesthesia. The doctor said, "If you want to live, be patient." They operated without anesthesia ... They only gave me a glass of alcohol ... But the worst thing was ahead, when he was blown up by a mine and saw his leg in a boot in the sky - his foot was torn off. A crack formed in the bone and it was necessary to saw off a part of the leg higher ... After the operation, a crack formed again and again the leg was sawed even higher. And this went on many times ... This is the kind of pain he endured ... By this time he was only 19 years old ... He returned from the front without a leg, on crutches. Despite his disability and severe injuries, returning to a peaceful life, dad continued to work as far as possible. The wounds received during the war made themselves felt. Often wounds opened in the cult, they bleed, ached. He again bravely endured the pain. From time to time, when the wounds opened up to the bone, dad was treated at the hospital for disabled people of the Second World War in Ulyanovsk - this was necessary in order to at least slightly reduce the pain and maintain health. Then a terrible illness overtook him, accompanied by unbearable pain. And again he bravely endured. Even the doctor was surprised at his patience and said, “A front-line soldier is a front-line soldier.” On March 15, 1982, my dad passed away.

Rank: Red Army. Type of troops: artillery. Subdivision: 109th Infantry Leningrad Red Banner Division. Leningrad strategic defensive operation (1941). By the beginning of the operation, the 8th Army was entrusted with the task of defending the line from the Baltic Sea to Lake Peipsi with a length of up to 225 kilometers, and in addition, 250 kilometers of the coast and islands of the Moonsund archipelago. The army had only six rifle divisions and one rifle brigade that had suffered losses in previous battles. From the area south of Türi and a little short of the coast of the Baltic Sea, the positions were occupied by the remnants of the 10th rifle corps in the form of the 10th rifle division and the 22nd motorized rifle division of the NKVD. In the coastal strip north of Pärnu, 30-40 kilometers wide, there were no troops at all, except for the border units that had withdrawn from Pärnu and small detachments of the militia. Further to the southeast along the Emajõgi River from Inesuu to Weybri the remnants of the 125th Infantry Division occupied positions, from Weybri to the shore of Lake Peipsi - the remnants of the 48th Infantry Division. The German command clearly underestimated the capabilities of the 8th Army to resist and launched an offensive with only two divisions (61st and 217th), as well as part of the forces of the 1st Army Corps. On July 8, 1941, German troops tried to break through the army's defenses on the Emajõgi line in the 11th Rifle Corps' zone, but the attack was repulsed. On the same day, German troops launched an offensive on Viljandi, broke through the defense of army units and occupied the city, but could not advance further. The breakthrough was stopped 17 kilometers north of the city by the forces of the 22nd motorized rifle division of the NKVD and the reserve 11th rifle division without one regiment, but the most difficult situation in the army zone was north of Pärnu. The advance units of the 217th Infantry Division broke through the fragile defense of the army and began to develop an offensive against Audru, Tallinn and Türi, by the evening of July 9, 1941, having covered half the distance from Pärnu to Tallinn. The 8th Army organized a counterattack with the last reserves, in which the remnants of the 10th Infantry Division, the fresh 16th Infantry Division, border guards and detachments of the people's militia took part. From July 9 to 15, 1941, the army fights at the breakthrough site, in the Maryamaa area, as a result of which the German troops were thrown back 30 kilometers. After that, the front line relatively stabilized for some time. On July 15, 1941, the 61st Infantry Division attempted to strike at the junction of the 10th and 11th Infantry Corps in the direction of Põltsamaa, but had no success. On July 14, the army was transferred to the Northern Front. On July 18, 1941, the German offensive was suspended. For the purpose of capturing Estonia, three divisions (291st, 93rd and 207th security divisions) were transferred to the 8th Army's zone of operations; control of the 42nd Army Corps. German troops again launched an offensive on parts of the 8th Army on July 22, 1941. The blow was delivered in the Põltsamaa - Türi sector at the junction of the Soviet 10th and 11th rifle corps and developed in two directions: towards the Gulf of Finland through Türi and on Mustvee. The main blow was aimed at cutting the 8th Army with the isolation of Tallinn, the second blow was aimed at reaching the northwestern coast of Lake Peipsi, cutting off the 11th rifle corps. On July 25, 1941, German troops completed the task of an auxiliary strike, cutting off and pressing the 11th rifle corps to the shore of Lake Peipsi. The 8th Army, with the forces of two regiments of the 16th Infantry Division, tried to launch a counterattack on Mustvee, which was unsuccessful. The 11th Rifle Corps, after a few (about 3000 demoralized fighters who left the encirclement), was destroyed. Its remnants and units of the 8th Army that retreated to the east subsequently organized defense from Lake Peipsi in the Mustvee area to the Gulf of Finland slightly east of Kunda In the direction of the main attack (the 61st Infantry Division took Tyuri on July 24, 1941, which was repulsed by a counterattack by the 98th Infantry Regiment of the 10th Rifle Division, 22nd Motorized Rifle Division of the NKVD, and the 1st Latvian Workers' Regiment and again abandoned Türi on July 25, 1941. German troops regrouped, shifting their efforts to the northeast. On July 31, 1941, German units broke through to Tamsalu station, moving on Rakvere. On August 4, 1941, the enemy took Tapa, cutting off the Tallinn-Leningrad highway, on August 6, 1941, went to Kadrina, on August 7, 1941, captured Rakvere and broke through to Kunda to the Gulf of Finland, thereby cutting off Estonia. 8 Thus, after reaching the gulf, the enemy deployed its units in opposite directions: leaving the regiment of the 207th security division for coastal defense, 26 The 1st Army Corps deployed to operate against part of the 8th Army towards Narva, and the 42nd Army Corps against another part of the 8th Army towards Tallinn. On August 8, 1941, units of the 8th Army inflict counterattacks from two sides: from the east and west, in order to combine their units, encircle and destroy the enemy units that had broken through to the gulf. The 156th Rifle Regiment of the 16th Rifle Division, the Latvian Regiment of the 10th Rifle Division and units of the 22nd NKVD Motorized Rifle Division, which were advancing from the west, supported by two gunboats, a battery of 130-mm guns and Air Force aircraft, advanced from 12 to 22 kilometers, and advanced units even further. However, the 291st and 93rd Infantry Divisions attacked east of Kunda on the morning of 8 August 1941. Soviet troops were forced to leave Jõhvi and start retreating along the railway to Narva. The gap between the units of the 8th Army increased to 80 kilometers and the counterattack was stopped. Eternal Glory and Memory to the heroes who broke the "backbone" of the Nazis.
