Born on may 1, 1909 in the village of Muzykiny Khutor (now-the village of Muzykovka, Kherson region, Ukraine). In the first days of the war, Pluzhnik Grigory Dmitrievich, refusing to be armored, went to the front as a volunteer. He first joined the reserve regiment and was a Telegraph technician. Later, as a second Lieutenant and commander of a marching company, the actor participated in the battle of Stalingrad and the liberation of Romania. At the same time, he led a concert and variety team and performed on the front line. Having been wounded, he was commissioned and sent as an artist of the Sevastopol theater of the black sea fleet.
