He began his military service in peacetime by studying at the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR Infantry School and continued his studies at the Borisov Tank School. After graduating from a military school, he fought in command positions in tank units. _x000D_ Pronkin S.P. took an active part in hostilities as part of the Western Front from October 1942 to February 1943, as part of the Central Front from April 1943 to July 1943, as part of the Southern Front and the Ukrainian Front from October 1943. As part of the 432 Tank Battalion, he fought to liberate the settlements of Zaporozhye and the Luhansk Region from the enemy.
