Borodin Georgy Nikiforovich was born in 1903 in a family of Ural Cossacks. At the age of 8 years he was left without a mother, and in 1917 his father died in the civil war defending the fatherland. At the age of 14 Borodin G. N. was left an orphan. The guardian of the great-grandfather is the uncle - the brother of the father Borodin Georgy Dmitrievich. These were difficult years for the family and the country. In 1941 the Great Patriotic War began. Georgy Nikiforovich was one of the first to receive a summons to the front and was sent to the front from the Orenburg region in the Buranny district of the village of Izobilnoye. His wife and four children stayed at home. The first field postcard from the front arrives in August 1941, with the letter saying: "I am alive and well, I am at the front. My dear family is always before my eyes. Dear children, listen to your mother, help her, it is very difficult for her now, God willing, the war will end, we will return with a victory. I kiss my dear wife and my beloved children countless times'. After receiving a letter (field map), the whole family was happy that their father was still alive, and at that time 3 calls came to the village about the death of the villagers. Maria Alekseevna started knitting warm socks and gloves and the children started nibbling pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds to send clean seeds in a parcel. They just sent the parcel, calmed down. And here you are, the callout - missing. How unpleasant cases of scam began to manifest themselves. On March 12th, 1942, it was very cold, the wind, in the middle of the night, there was a strong knock on the window. The windows were locked with shutters, the doors were locked with all the locks. Maria, wife of George Nikiforovich, wakes up alarmed and asks through the window: "Who is there?" Suddenly she hears the voice of her husband, and in panic and in disbelief, she reads a prayer aloud and raises the children. George Nikiforovich, concerned about the door, asked them to let him into the house. And only with their youngest son Mikhail, who was 5 years old, they opened the door to the house with a prayer. There was so much fear, so many different voices, tears of happiness because husband, the father of four children, returned from the front. After the call - "Missing", it is difficult to say, and even more difficult to describe the encounter of the front soldier with his family. Georgy Nikiforovich returned from the front with a white ticket, which was written off as unfit for war due to loss of sight. He took part in the fighting near Moscow, with the troops being transferred to Stalingrad, where he was given the assignment. After he was wounded at the front, he started to work in the hinterland, but there was enough work. He left himself 7 hours a day to rest. The village also lived in the hard work of the rear and reports from the fronts. They continued to send calls for the dead villagers, and occasionally there were wounded or mutilated people. The front was constantly being filled up with additional recruits, and they began to take in both the old and the wounded. In August 1942 George Nikiforovich was brought to the front for the second time. And in December 1942 a villager, a neighbor, Rakhminin Yefim, returned from the front after being wounded. He said that he and George Nikiforovich were in the same unit in Stalingrad. There was a terrible battle, there was a strong frost, in the military unit in which they participated, almost everyone was killed, several people were left. Georgy Nikiforovich, according to him, remained on the battlefield when Yefim was picked up wounded. After such news the family was very worried, day and night they waited for news from the front. Only in March 1943 a letter from the front arrived. Georgy Nikiforovich reported that he was alive and well, all the time he did not receive any letters from home. He was at the front. The letter addresses his love to his wife and children and asks the children to listen to their mother and help her in everything. What a great joy it was for the family who received the news from the front that their front soldier is alive and well and continues to fight for the fatherland with an uninvited enemy. So happy was the Borodin family, who were in a hurry to send the parcel to the front. Filling out the parcel was obligatory: warm socks and gloves, a warm jacket and some food and pumpkin, sunflower seeds. They sent a parcel with a letter inside, and the heart of the family warmed up. But the parcel did not reach the recipient. It is understandable that during heavy fighting near Stalingrad, whole military units were killed and the survivors were transferred to other units. There was no time to understand, and the family receives a repeated notification on the package - "Missing". For a long time the family mourned George Nikiforovich, but in their hearts they all hoped that God would save him. And here came the long awaited news. The family could not wait for George Nikiforovich or his letter. At the end of May 1945 he was put on the wanted list. And a notification came to the request, addressed to Borodina Maria Alekseevna living in the village Izobilnoye: Your husband, Borodin Georgy Nikiforovich died in the fight for the socialist homeland, loyal to the military oath, heroic and courageous, on March 3, 1945. Buried with saluting military honors of the southwestern district, the village of the Deschutes from the highway Braitberg Thalnsdorf, East Prussia. Authenticated. George Nikiforovich went through the war from June 1941 to March 1945. He was always on the front line and did not receive a letter from his home during the whole war.
