Demin Nikolai Nikolaevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Demin Nikolai Nikolaevich (years of life: 1915-1972) He was born on 18.01.1915 in the village of Valuevka, Kuzovatovsky district, Simbirsk province (now Ulyanovsk region) in the family of peasants Demin Nikolai Yegorovich and Irina Ivanovna. In 1931, he started working. From January 1935 to May 1936, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Chirikovsky village Council of workers ' deputies of the Kuzovatovsky district. From November 1936, he was called up for military service, which he served as an assistant platoon commander. After returning from the red Army in November 1938, he was elected Chairman of the Mayak Revolyutsii collective farm, and then of the Red Army collective farm. Since 1939, he was a member of the CPSU. From September 1941 to April 1942, he participated in the battles with the Nazi invaders, as a platoon commander of the 154th regiment in / h 2498. Awarded the rank of Lieutenant. During the fierce fighting, he was wounded in the right leg and was unconscious for a long time. The grandfather survived due to the fact that he was sheltered by local residents in the cellar of the house. Then he lay in the hospital for a long time, rejected the doctors ' offer to amputate his leg. After long-term treatment and thanks to his perseverance, as a result of rehabilitation, he went on the mend. But according to the results of the medical Commission on 09.12.1942, he was discharged from the active army for health reasons. After returning from the front, in the most difficult conditions of the war and post-war period, he headed collective farms in Ignatovsky and then in the Mainsky districts of the Ulyanovsk region. In November 1958, he was elected Chairman of the Frunze collective farm, which was one of the largest in the region. He managed this advanced collective farm for more than 13 years. For services to the state, he was awarded the order of the Badge of honor and the order of the October revolution, three medals, including "for victory over Germany"and" for valiant labor during the great Patriotic war". Demin Nikolai Nikolaevich together with his wife Demina (before marriage Gorbunova) Alexandra Sergeevna adequately raised four children. My grandfather died after a long illness on 03.10.1972.»
