Peter Emelyanovich Rogozhnikov_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Captain. Type of troops: Ground Forces, Air Force (except for naval aviation), coastal service, “NKVD” troops, border troops. Subdivision: 34th Guards Rifle Enakievskaya Red Banner Order of Suvorov Division. Peter Yemelyanovich Rogozhnikov (1917-2003), being a radio operator of the 32nd Air Division, being part of the 7th Capital Airborne Corps near Moscow, was wounded in the leg during a landing in the rear of the Germans. Wounded, he was decommissioned from aviation and sent to the Smolensk Military-Political School for propaganda courses. _x000D_ _x000D_ _x000D_ After the end of the course, he was enlisted in the 34th Guards Rifle Division, participated in the battles for Stalingrad, where he was wounded again, and 20 days after returning from the hospital, he was shell-shocked. _x000D_ _x000D_ For six months he was treated in an evacuation hospital in the city of Astrakhan, and then again to the Frontline. 4th Ukrainian Frontline: from July 1943 to March 1945 – Komsomol organizer of the battalion, 2nd Belorussian Frontline: from March 1945 to May 1945 – Party organizer of the battalion. Peter Yemelyanovich is a holder of the Order of the Red Banner, two Orders of the Patriotic War of the 2nd grade, medals “For the Defense of Moscow”, “For the Defense of Stalingrad”, “For the Liberation of Warsaw”, “For Victory over Germany” and many others. _x000D_ _x000D_ Peter Yemelyanovich performed all the tasks of the command exactly and on time, showed himself to be an honest officer. The war was ended by the Guard Captain Rogozhnikov in Berlin and, like many others, signed the walls of the Reichstag. After the Victory, he spent a whole year in Germany as part of a limited contingent of the Red Army group of forces. He was Demobilized in July 1946.
