Razumov Stepan Severianovich

Razumov Stepan Seviryanovich_x000D_ Rank: Red army soldier. Branch of service: army, air force (except marine aviation), the coast guard, the troops of the NKVD border troops. Division: 164th rifle division (1st formation). Stepan Seviryanovich Razumov, originally from the Vologda region, did not know when he joined the army in 1940 that the fascists would start a war in exactly one year. He was called up in Kalinin (now Tver) in May 1941 to the front line in the 164th rifle regiment. Stepan Severianovich recalled that in the fight then there was no thought about whether there will be someone alive tomorrow, it was too great hatred for the invaders. During the German offensive, comrade Razumov was given the task of detaining the advancing Germans for the organized withdrawal of our units. The platoon commander gave orders to comrade Razumov and another machine gunner to hold up the enemy company advancing on the defense of the Soviet platoon with two machine guns. For 4 hours, the soldiers held back the German company's offensive and destroyed up to 50 people of the Nazis. During this time, the Soviet units withdrew, after which the machine gunners received orders to withdraw to the next line of defense. In this unequal battle, Stepan Seviryanovich was seriously wounded in the leg, after which he was sent to the hospital, where he was treated for another six months - the bones on his ankle were crushed, and doctors fought to save his leg. He fought for only 3 months, and saw so much that he returned to the village as a gray-haired invalid of group 1-home, where he continued his work and work as an accountant on the collective farm "Katroma". And for his heroism and endurance, loyalty to the Motherland and fearlessness, Stepan Seviryanovich was awarded the Order of the red Star.
