Vnukov Pyotr Alekseevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Since childhood, my father told me about his father, my grandfather, who heroically fought in the sky with the German invaders. His stories about his exploits, about that time of war, drew pictures of military battles in my imagination. And most of all, I was impressed by his stories about his grandfather, a pilot who, making a flight on a combat mission, never returned from it and was considered missing. He was born in 1920 in the city of Dzerzhinsk of the Stalin region in Ukraine. He grew up as an ordinary boy, interested in technology and exact Sciences. And he had a dream-to become an Aviator. He studied diligently and at the end of school entered the flight school. Then he was distributed to the city of Astrakhan. Where he met my grandmother Olga Sergeevna. The young family lived very amicably. A son, Vyacheslav, was born. But the war changed all plans. Grandfather goes to the front. Sent to the 123rd fighter aviation regiment 7 IAK air defense of Leningrad. At that time, this famous regiment covered objects on the Western shore of lake Ladoga and the Western section of the ice route "Road of Life" to Zelenets island. By order of the People's Commissar of defense of the USSR No. 374 of November 22, 1942, for the courage and heroism shown in the fight against the fascist invaders, the regiment was transformed into the 27th guard’s fighter aviation regiment. He is a pilot of the 7th fighter aviation corps of the 27th guard’s fighter regiment. February 14, 1943, my grandfather did not return from a combat mission, it was his last flight. Missing in action… Didn't return from a combat mission… But I always believed that I would find his grave, I would find my grandfather, and from childhood this feeling, this sense of duty, was very important to me. Time has passed, and in this age of digital technology, there are opportunities that help us achieve our goals. And I started searching in 2014. I started with sites, groups, entered his last name in the search bar and searched, searched. I didn't know where to start. And then one day I found his name in an article by I. G. Prokofiev "Krasnoborskaya operation". http://www.airforce.ru/history/ww2/prokofjev/page_02.htm. This is where I found out the day my grandfather died and the supposed location of the plane crash. So, I started writing to search groups that work in these areas. It was 4 years of search work, until in the next letter I was not written the address of Ilya Gennadyevich, who was the author of the "Krasnoborsk operation". "Hello Ilya Gennadievich! I don't know if I went to the address, but the fact is that I'm looking for a possible burial place of my grandfather, a pilot of the 27th guard’s fighter aviation regiment, guard Junior Lieutenant Vnukov Pyotr Alekseevich. According to the information I have, all the facts point to the place of his death (missing) in the Kolpino area. The source of information is Your "Krasnoborskaya operation". If you have the opportunity, then tell me who I can contact, which organizations that conducted or are conducting search work. Maybe our family, thanks to joint efforts, will find the burial place of our grandfather, who heroically fought for our Country, and lay flowers at his grave.".. This is how our correspondence with Ilya Gennadievich began. In one of the messages he wrote to me: "Unfortunately, his plane shot down in February 1943 has not yet been found... the air battle was in the Kolpino area, that is, it could have fallen in the Kolpino area (this is now the city line of St. Petersburg) and in the Krasniy Bor area (Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region). Search teams are constantly working in these places, but unfortunately, the crash site has not been found yet... there is one Yak-7b plane found in this area, with the remains of the pilot, namely from the 27th. IAP, but unfortunately, I can't say exactly who died on this plane, because there are not enough archival documents... The crash site of the Yak-7b (1 km South-East of Popovka station). He died in 1943. In 1988, the search party "victory" (Leningrad, head of A. S. Reuvimov) found the remains of the pilot-unknown. Buried on July 22, 1989 in the village of Agalatovo, Vsevolozhsky district" Now I knew, I felt that it was him. My grandfather is buried in the village of Agalatovo, as an unnamed pilot. I contacted the village of Agalatovo. A nice girl Oksana worked with me for about a year, who told me where to write, who to contact. And here is the long-awaited letter from Ilya Gennadievich. "Marina! Good afternoon! I'm in TSAMO right now! I found it! I found out which plane your grandfather died on, and it matched the number we found in 1990! Yes, this is really him-my grandfather, Grandsons Pyotr Alekseevich guard Junior Lieutenant, whose remains were solemnly buried on July 22, 1989 at the military burial ground of pilots in the village of Agalatovo, Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region. Today, thanks to our joint efforts of search teams and people, (http://отечестворт.рф/news/2020/010_tsamo.html) who are not indifferent to the fate of those who gave their lives for our Country, the name of my grandfather is immortalized. His data is included In the book of Memory of the village of Agalatovo. On May 9, I had to fly to see my grandfather's burial place. The place that my father, who loved it all his life, dreamed of visiting. And I am proud that despite many years, the name of my ancestor, who selflessly fought for his Homeland, for my life, for the lives of my children, is immortalized. I love you grandpa!

Vanglinsky Konstantin Vladimirovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Konstantin Vladimirovich Vanglinsky was born on June 23, 1926 in the Belarusian SSR, Slavnaya station. As a fourteen-year-old, he entered a vocational school in Osintorf. In addition to studying, students extracted peat, dried it and sent it to the warehouse. In 1941, he graduated from the school, and in the same year the school was evacuated to Mordovia. He worked as a mechanic in the railway depot at station Razuvaeva. At the end of 1944, a young man who had just turned 18 was called up to the army. Konstantin took a four-week course as a young soldier and in January 1945, as part of a rifle division, was sent to the 3rd Belorussian front (commander-Marshal of the Soviet Union A. M. Vasilevsky). He received his first baptism of fire at Konigsberg. On April 6, he participated in the night assault on the city. 3 days later, on April 9, Konigsberg capitulated. On April 20, 1945, troops liberated the town of Pillau (now Baltiysk), a former German stronghold in the East. For the liberation of Konigsberg, for courage and bravery, soldiers, including Konstantin Wanglinsky, were awarded the order of Glory II degree. The awards were presented by General of the army I. H. Baghramyan. Konstantin Vladimirovich himself told: "The city of Konigsberg was strongly fortified, surrounded by powerful and reliable defensive structures. On the outskirts of the city there were tank divisions, motor reserve divisions, and infantry units. Also, the city was surrounded by a large ditch with water. The soldiers laid pontoons so that the tanks could pass. The fighting at Konigsberg was fierce. The actions of our army were confident and smart. The capture of the city involved Soviet heavy bomber planes that bombed the city every 10 minutes, smashed artillery, and then went tanks and infantry. There was no hatred in the attack, only anger. The soldiers and commanders fought bravely and bravely. The most important task for me was: uninterrupted operation of Maxim. In the interval between battles, they restored the shipping channel and dug trenches. German riflemen were firing at us, giving us no rest. The soldiers were able to wash in the bathhouse in short breaks, and they were fed well. Experienced soldiers, as they could, protected us, young, not shot, shared their experience, carefully introduced us to the battle... And again, the battle. Three days later, Koenigsberg fell, and residents hung white canvases from their Windows. There was a heavy battle near the city of Pillau (now the city of Baltiysk). In cooperation with the red banner Baltic fleet, our units liberated it." Konstantin Vladimirovich Vanglinsky took part in offensive actions in East Prussia, in the liquidation of the German Kurland group. He was discharged in May 1946. Awarded the order of the Patriotic war II degree. After the war, Konstantin Vladimirovich worked on the construction of the railway from Ulaanbaatar to the Chinese border, and in 1957 returned to the Buryat-Mongolian ASSR. From that time, for 30 years, until 1987, he worked as a driver of the air ambulance of the national hospital named after N. A. Semashko. Thousands of kilometers he measured in his car on the roads of Buryatia, at any time of the year, in any weather, delivering doctors to provide urgent medical care to the sick and injured. Thus, he also helped save people in his post. And how many of them there were-I can't count.

Vakarin Izot Antonovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Vakarin Izot Antonovich was born on September 14, 1911 in the village of Peski, now Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky district of the Chita region in a peasant family. In the autumn of 1943, during the Soviet offensive in the Smolensk region (Smolensk strategic operation), the German command took all measures to keep Smolensk as a strategically important stronghold. Units of the 43rd army were assigned the task of crossing the Kasplya river and capturing the city of Demidov during the Dukhovshchinsky-Demidov operation. After hard fighting, the 262nd rifle division made its way to Demidov. On September 21, 1943, I. A. Vakarin's company stormed into the city in pursuit of the enemy. By evening, it had gained a foothold on the Western edge of the city. At night, the Germans attacked the company's positions with superior forces, reaching its trenches. In a hand-to-hand fight, the company commander destroyed 9 fascists with grenades and machine gun fire. In total, in this battle, the company destroyed up to 60 Nazis, holding their positions. On September 22, the city of Demidov was completely cleared of the enemy. The offensive continued, the company was fierce fighting for the liberation of the villages Setence, Hogan, Subaki, Sapci, Rudnyansky district of Smolensk region. In the battle of October 3, 1943 for the village of Saptsy, I. A. Vakarin and his men made a bold maneuver, occupied the village and held it for a day, repelling five enemy counterattacks. He was seriously wounded in the spine, but continued to manage the fight. The company repulsed all enemy counterattacks and completed its combat mission. For these battles, I. A. Vakarin was awarded the order of the red banner and presented for the Rank of Hero of the Soviet Union. Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 4, 1944 for exemplary performance of fighting tasks of command at the front struggle with German invaders and displaying courage and heroism Vakarin Izot Antonovich awarded the Rank of Hero of the Soviet Union and the order of Lenin and medal "gold Star". Vasiliev Pyotr Mefodovich_x000D_ _x000D_ He went to the front as a volunteer when he was not yet 18 years old. He was called up in January 1942 by the Charysh RVC of the Altai territory. All the way from the beginning of 1942 to a serious injury in 1944, he was a sabre-wielder of the 86th Lida cavalry regiment of the 32nd Smolensk order of the red banner of the cavalry division of the 3rd guard’s cavalry corps. He took part in the battles to encircle and defeat the fascist group near Stalingrad, in the operation to liberate Smolensk, in the Belarusian offensive operation Bagration, and many others. The most detailed story from my grandfather heard about the battles in Belarus… During the Belarusian offensive operation Bagration, which was conducted from June 23 to August 29, 1944, the 86th cavalry regiment, as part of the 3rd guard’s cavalry corps, took part in the battles to liberate the territory of Belarus. From the first days of the operation after the breakthrough of the German defense, the cavalrymen went into a deep raid on the enemy's rear, destroying the enemy, cutting off his supply routes and retreat. While on patrol, my grandfather found a group of Germans at the edge of the forest. He dismounted from his horse, crept up and attacked the enemy alone. The short battle ended before help arrived. At the same time, he destroyed 6 and captured 15 Germans. So rapidly advancing liberated one after another settlements. Often, on horseback, they swooped down on their enemies with drawn sabers, slicing through their bodies. At such attacks, the Germans were seized with terror, they fled in fear, throwing down their weapons. Soon they came to the city of Lida. Early in the morning, the 86th cavalry regiment, trying to rush into the city of Lida, started a battle at the fork in the road near the village of Tatartsy. Here the fascists put up a strong fire resistance and three times launched a counterattack against the cavalry. By mid-afternoon, the German regiment was completely routed. In this battle my grandfather personally killed three German soldiers and obergefreiter (as noted in the premium list). My grandfather was in the 86th cavalry regiment, which was moving in the vanguard of the division. Soon, the investigation reported that near the village Serkovo in the direction of the leads moving enemy convoy force of approximately battalion. The enemy did not suspect the close location of the cavalrymen. The regimental commander set the task of defeating the column. At the signal, the attack began. There was panic in the enemy camp. After a heavy fire, the cavalrymen with a shout of "Hurrah!" fell on the enemy. The enemy ran in different directions, fleeing from saber blows. After defeating the enemy column, they liberated the village of Netech. Then they moved to the city of Lida. This is just one of the memorable episodes that my grandfather told me. After the liberation of Belarus, they entered the territory of Poland, where my grandfather was seriously wounded. After 6 months of hospitalization, he was discharged and returned home in March 1945.

DATE OF DEATH: 01.01.1988 HISTORY: The war ended long ago, the fighting died down. Years pass quickly and time erases the memories of those terrible and difficult years for the country and people. There are fewer and fewer witnesses of those years, veterans of the great Patriotic war. Time passes, people forget the names and faces of veterans who endured all the hardships of wartime. Human memory is also merciless to those who remain forever on the battlefields. How can we make sure that what made the blood run cold in the veins of those who witnessed the terrible events called "WAR"will never happen again? Our young generation should know all the details of that horror, remember and keep in their hearts the memory of those who will never return, who laid their lives on the altar of victory in the war against fascism . In an old grandmother's album there is a photo of a brother and sister-Semyon Georgievich Polandov and Ustinya Georgievna Stoforandova. My great-grandmother's brother went to the front at 18, in the first year of the war. Residents of the village of Dubovaya Balka saw off their defenders to the front. According to the distribution, Semyon Georgievich was sent to defend the city of Stalingrad. And then one day he was sent to a military operation, where they were attacked by German planes and defeated the entire reconnaissance group. Only a few people survived, my great-grandmother's brother, grandfather Senya, received a severe concussion and was sent to the hospital. In 1943, on the way to the military echelon, grandfather Senya wrote a note to his parents that he was going to the hospital for treatment in Kislovodsk, and passed it to the orderlies at the Watershed station. From the stories of my grandmother, Mitera-the mother of great-grandparents Senya and Ustinya, always thanked the woman who in 1943 brought news to them that their son Senya was wounded and sent to the hospital. My great-grandmother Ustinya was poisoned with gifts to the hospital to her brother. That's how this photo appeared in our family album, which was taken in 1943. After the hospital, great-grandfather Senya was sent to his unit.
