The faces of WWII Heroes

Rukhlov Gregory Akindinovich_x000D_ _x000D_ Grigory Akindinovich Rukhlov was born in 1903 in the village of Kolbinskaya in a peasant family. His parents taught him to work on the land from childhood. In his 20s, my great-grandfather served in the Navy. After returning to his homeland, he married a Dvinitsa girl, Alekandra. There were seven children in their family, but only three girls survived: Zina, Faina and Dina. Gregory Akindinova worked first as a lumberjack, then work on the farm. For good work, he was awarded a vacation ticket to the Crimea. This was in 1939. The year 1941 came, marking the beginning of a severe test for the entire Soviet people. We learned about the beginning of the war from radio messages. The family then lived in a forest station, but Grigory Akindinovich decided to move to the village of Putkovo Dvinitsky village Council. Faina Grigorievna recalled: "Those years are hard to forget. In the first days of the war, everyone hoped that everything would end soon. The parents continued to work on the collective farm, and the children went to school. But every day more and more bad news came from the front, more and more men went to war. I remember well the day when my father came from the meeting and said that tomorrow he was leaving for the military enlistment office. That night, he stayed up for a long time, repairing everything, realizing how difficult it would be for his wife and daughters. The next day, my mother and I went to see him off on a horse. We reached the river Dvinitsa, and then said goodbye. My mother was still crying, and my father was walking, looking back and waving at us. I still see this parting in my dreams." Grigory Akindinovich went to the front in November 1942, and in March of the forty-third, the wife of Alexander Savelyevna received a notification that her husband was missing. He was a participant in the battle of Stalingrad. His brother, who was discharged from the wound, brought the latest “hello” of Gregory Akindinova. He said that very few people were left alive in that battle. The family never found out where their soldier was buried.

Before the beginning of the great Patriotic war, he worked on a collective farm as a tractor driver on a crawler tractor CHTZ. Tractor drivers were needed in the rear, so Ivan Nikolaevich was not called to the front immediately, but only on January 13, 1942. Repkin Akim Vasilyevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Senior sergeant. Branch of service: army, air force (except marine aviation), the coast guard, the troops of the NKVD border troops. In every city and village of our country, former veterans live. And although they are becoming fewer and fewer every year, but those who survived, keep the memory of the departed sacred. The memory of them lives on in the people. I want to tell you about our fellow countryman, hero of the Soviet Union, Akim Vasilyevich Repkin. Akim Vasilyevich Repkin was born on September 20, 1914 in the village of Harkeevka in the Starooskolsky district in the family of a poor peasant. He graduated from elementary school. He started his working life very early. At the age of thirteen, his father sent him to work for kulak. At the age of sixteen, Komsomol member Akim Repkin worked at a mine in the Donbass. Here, in 1936, he was drafted into the army. From 1936 to 1939, he served in the Red Army in the far East. After demobilization, he remained to live and work in the city of Blagoveshchensk. When the war began, he asked to go to the front as a volunteer. The regiment in which Akim Vasilyevich was enlisted was arriving at the South-Western front, near Kharkiv. Here in October 1941, the baptism of fire took place. 1942. German-fascist hordes are rushing to the Volga. The battle of Stalingrad, a fierce, harsh, and persistent battle unprecedented in the history of war, began. The battalion in which Repkin served was assigned the task of crossing the don river, breaking through the enemy's defenses in the direction of the city of Serafimovich. Prepared carefully. They tied up a raft from improvised materials, loaded weapons and ammunition on it. And at nightfall, at a signal, they threw themselves into the water. "Go ahead, guys!" - the squad leader hurried his men. The cannonade did not abate. At first, the indiscriminate firing of the enemy became more focused. The soldiers stormed the German fortifications. The enemy's defense line was breached, and the task was completed. Then there was the gum, which was also forced. After Kursk and Orel again water barrier-the Dnieper. The Nazis were firing heavily. The sappers took shelter in the coastal Bush. No violent counterattack, no heavy fire of the enemy could not prevent the crossing. For two days, pontoons were transporting people, equipment, ammunition, and medicines without sleep or rest. And when the sounds of battle rolled away far beyond the Dnieper, the sappers began to build a floating pontoon bridge, which soon crossed the army. The offensive continued. And Akim Vasilyevich attached to his tunic the medal "for bravery", received for the courage shown during the crossing of the Dnieper. In the spring of 1944, the order of the Red Star was added to the military awards. This is for crossing the Prut river. In the second half of January 1945, the 49th separate motorized pontoon bridge battalion under the leadership of Colonel Borodin reached the Oder near the city of Steinau. Intelligence reported that the only surviving bridge in the area was mined. In the evening, the Deputy commander of the fourth tank army, major General Poluektov, drove up to the group of pontoons. Opening the car door, he called senior Lieutenant Krupnikov to his side. "Tankers need a bridge. Are there any specialists in mine clearance? " - " we will find it, comrade General!" The execution of combat missions by the battalion commander has placed on Repkina. The Junior Sergeant put the platoon on the car and headed for the bridge. The soldiers were forced to spread out, dashing and crawling forward for two kilometers due to heavy mortar fire. When the bridge was two hundred meters away, Repkin left the soldiers in place, and he and private Akhmetov, Komsomol Famankhin crawled to the road, then ditched to the bridge. At a convenient moment they removed the sentries. A green rocket shot up into the gray sky: the way is clear! On the same day late in the evening the battalion was alerted and was ordered to secure the crossing of troops over the Oder near the town Cabin. Junior Sergeant Repkin's squad was the first to reach the river. The landing party was already at the shore. After 10 minutes, the first pontoon, loaded to the limit of the infantry, sailed off the shore. Repkin was driving the pontoon. The rapid current and floating ice floes made it difficult to move. There were the booming shots of guns and mortars, machine-gun bursts, and the unbearable screeching of bombs. Shells split the ice floes. Skilfully maneuvering between the bursts of shells and mines, between the ice floes, Repkin resolutely led his pontoon to the Western shore. And when the landing party, having caught on a piece of land, entered the battle, Akim Vasilyevich sent his pontoon after another group of fighters. And again, the shells burst, again the shrapnel. For two days, Akim Repkin's Department worked under continuous fire without rest or sleep. It transported 2 infantry battalions, 10 guns, 3 tanks, and many other weapons and ammunition across the Oder, which ensured the capture and consolidation of a bridgehead on the left Bank of the river. On April 10, 1945, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Akim Vasilievich Repkin was awarded the Rank Hero of the Soviet Union for successfully crossing the Oder and for his heroism and courage. At the same time, he joined the CPSU(b). The war ended for Repkin on April 28, 1945. While participating in the assault on Berlin, he was seriously wounded. He learned about the victory in the hospital. After the war, Akim Vasilyevich was demobilized. Lived in Carscom district of the Chita region, then moved to his native village Kharchevka of Volodymyrovsky village Council. In the early 60s, Akim Vasilyevich worked as the head of a dairy farm in the village of Vladimirovka. At the same time, he was given an apartment in the city of Stary Oskol, where he moved the whole family. But Akim Vasilyevich never forgot his small homeland. He constantly came and met with young people, industry leaders and ordinary residents of the village. At the invitation of the pioneers of the Vladimirskaya secondary school, Akim Vasilievich repeatedly visited the school and talked with the children. The Museum of the Vladimirskaya secondary school contains photos of A.V. Repkin and a note written by Him on February 5, 1972. When once again Akim Vasilyevich was invited to a meeting with students, he wrote that he was glad to be invited and that he would definitely fulfill the request of the students. But, unfortunately, the shattered health did not allow this meeting to take place. In the late 80's, on May 11, 1989, Akim Vasilyevich died. The Motherland has not forgotten the hero's feat. In honor of Akim Vasilyevich named one of the streets of Stary Oskol, his bust installed in alle Heroes. His memory will be passed down from century to century. And we will be proud that we had a chance to live on the same land together with our famous countryman – Repkin Akim Vasilyevich.

Ryabova Elena Ivanovna_x000D_ _x000D_ Unfortunately, we don't have any front-line photos of my mother. But my mother told us, her children, a lot about front-line life. And it was sad and painful to listen to how much they had to endure and experience in those difficult years. Before she entered the communications school, she and her family (her mother's father had already died) - her sisters and mother-lived in Voronezh, and when the Nazis bombed Voronezh, she and her classmates dug trenches and dropped incendiary bombs from the roofs of houses. She had to see with her own eyes how a German pilot with stars on the sides of the plane bombed a children's sanatorium. She had already been evacuated to the military communications school. The courses were short-term and she got into the signal regiment 92 of Marshal Chuikov's army. She worked on a Morse machine, transmitting and receiving ciphers. It was hard to lose your friends and fellow soldiers. During the bombings, we had to crawl to find broken wires to restore communication. Fortunately, my mother didn't have any injuries other than a concussion. The shrapnel will break the top of the boot, the bullets will break through the radio. It so happened that my mother developed "chicken blindness" and she almost did not see anything at dusk. So, she was sent to the field kitchen to help the cook deliver food to the trenches in field thermos bottles, of course, they were heavy, and my mother had to carry them behind her back. One day she got to the trench, and in the thermos flasks except for the scanty grounds there was nothing, because the thermos flasks were pierced by bullets, and my mother did not have a single wound. With her regiment, my mother reached Konigsberg, from where she was demobilized.

Rakhmatullin Sabirzhan Shakirovich_x000D_ _x000D_ My grandfather Rakhmatullin Sabirzhan Shakirovich was born on January 09, 1926 in the village of Novaya Kulatka, Starokulatkinsky district, Ulyanovsk region. My grandfather was drafted into the army in the fall of 1943 and entered the 21st air training Regiment as a cadet, where he trained until May 1944. Later he was sent to the 51st separate air ambulance company v/h 12815 (2nd Ukrainian front), where he served until September 1945. He took part in the liberation of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and also participated in the capture of Konigsberg. He was discharged from the army in June 1950. His battle path is indicated by his awards. So, for exemplary performance of combat tasks at the front in the fight against the German invaders, by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, he was awarded the order of the Patriotic War of II degree, the medal for the capture of Konigsberg, the medal for military merit, the Zhukov medal and jubilee awards. My grandfather was awarded the medal "for the capture of Konigsberg" for his direct participation in the heroic assault and capture of the fortress city of Konigsberg in the period January 23-April 10, 1945. After the end of the war, my grandfather returned to his native village, where he worked as a driver. For conscientious and long-term work, my grandfather was awarded the "veteran of labor" medal. On the days of the great Victory day, grandfather tells us about the historical events of the great Patriotic war, remembers his commanders and colleagues, and tearfully wishes that we did not know what war is. About his participation in military operations (the Baltic operation) in the liberation of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia and the capture of Konigsberg (the East Prussian operation) remembers reluctantly and does not talk about the war times experienced, just says that in our life there was no war, and you do not know what war is!

Rubilov Nikolay Ignatovich_x000D_ _x000D_ My grandfather, Nikolay Ignatovich Rubilov, was born on 2.02.1906 in a large peasant family in the village of Aleksashkino near Saratov. After the revolution, his family moved to Shuya. Here, Nikolay entered the printing shop of the Shuisky United factory as an apprentice, where he soon grew up to become a raklist and became a leader in production. Soon he married a young beauty - Bolotova Maria Konstantinovna. They had a son, Yuri, in 1932, Rudolf in 1936, and a daughter, Tatiana, in 1938. My grandfather was called to the front in 1941. Together with him went to fight and his 3 brothers, two of the war has not returned. Grandfather Nikolay participated in the defense of Smolensk, was the commander of the gun. After being wounded and concussed, he was in a Moscow hospital. My grandfather participated in the defense of the Caucasus. Graduated from the communications officer course in Irkutsk. Again, he participated in the battles. He was awarded the order of the red Star, medals, and received the commendation of the Supreme commander. He personally saw G. K. Zhukov. My grandfather was discharged in 1945 and returned to the United factory in Shuya, where he worked until 1979. In 1948, my daughter Lydia was born, and in 1951, my father, Nikolay Nikolaevich, was born. My grandparents had such a large family, 5 children. After the war, we lived hard, but amicably. The eldest son Yuri became an officer, served in the air force on southern Sakhalin, then in Sevastopol. There he met his love and started a family. My son Rudolf was an excellent car mechanic, my daughter Tatiana was a nurse, my daughter Lydia was a teacher, and my father Nikolay was a paramedic. My grandfather died on September 1, 1982.

Rodionova Margarita Gennadievna_x000D_ _x000D_ She was born on March 1, 1924 in Yelabuga, Tatar ASSR in the family of a teacher. She spent his childhood in Siberia and on the Volga river in Sengiley, Ulyanovsk region. From the 10th grade, she volunteered for the front. She graduated from the school of signalmen in Nikolaev and from 1942 served as a radio operator at the Novorossiysk naval base of the black sea fleet. Out of 225 days, 202 days fought on Malaya Zemlya near Novorossiysk. Participated in the battles on Taman, to liberate the hero cities of Kerch and Sevastopol. She was discharged in 1945 and returned to Sengiley. She worked for a local newspaper. In 1951, she arrived in the Kaliningrad region. She worked in regional newspapers, on radio and television, and in the newspaper "Strazh Baltiki". From early childhood, she wrote poetry. The first poem was published in the district newspaper in 1935. She also wrote poems at the front, which were published in army Newspapers. The first story was published in the 50s. The first book "Flying birds of passage" about the work of ornithologists on the Curonian spit was published in 1963. The story "the Girl goes to war" was published in Kaliningrad (1974), then in Moscow (1980). It is based on the facts of the author's own biography. The heroine of the story, Nina Morozova, like Margarita Rodionova herself, went to the front as a seventeen-year-old girl, served in the black sea fleet, participated in the battles for Malaya Zemlya. The story immediately became incredibly popular, and the writer received real recognition. Margarita Rodionova were published under the pseudonyms M. Volodin, Raisa Dianova, N. Ilieva, R. Margaretten, R. Mikhailov, R. Polyakova. Since 1962, member of the Union of journalists of the USSR. In 1975, she was admitted to the Union of writers of the USSR and became a member of the literary Fund of the USSR. She was awarded with medals. She died on September 28, 1998. In 2004 in Kaliningrad, a memorial plaque is installed on the house where M. G. Rodionova lived.

Ryabukha Evdokia Grigorievna_x000D_ _x000D_ Crimean Joan Of Arc she was burned alive on March 19, 1944 near Simferopol, when the liberation of the city was less than a month away-the Nazis were driven out of here on April 13. They did not burn it in a furnace, like 8 thousand prisoners of the death camp, which was set up on the territory of the state farm "Krasny" near Simferopol. Few people know about it, but the stoves there were the same as in Buchenwald and Auschwitz! She was burned demonstratively, at the stake, because she was a Soviet intelligence officer, and her fellow countrymen gave her to the Nazis. This high feat is not marked by any awards. The place where she was put to death and then buried is not known. In vain the inconsolable mother Nina Pavlovna searched for her daughter's grave. The funeral was brought in mid-July, when the trail had already cooled, and the intelligence archives either did not survive, or did not lead them at all in that hell. In the death notice sent from Varenikovsky district military Commissariat to the name of the scout's father, Grigory Vasilyevich Ryabukha, her death is said sparingly and dryly, and even with an error in the surname (it is written "Fedorenko Evdokia Grigoryevna", and it should be – " Fedorchenko»): "Your daughter, red army soldier so-and-so in the battle for the Socialist Homeland, loyal to the military oath, showing heroism and courage, died on March 19, 1944. She was buried with military honors in the Simferopol region of the Crimean ASSR." And below in large letters it is reported that "this notice is a document for initiating a petition for a pension" and there are two signatures - the district military Committee of captain Golovach and the head of the 1st part of Lieutenant Pertsevoy. Such sweeping, squiggly ones! Why didn't you, fellow commanders, save the girl from a terrible death? After all, she loved German lessons, it was well given to her at school, and her friends were from Russified Germans whose ancestors moved to the South of Russia at the invitation of Catherine the Second. They were Russified, but they did not forget their native language, they spoke it at home. And Dusya practiced with them. Good German came in handy when the Nazi invaders entered the village: she got a job at the commandant's office as an interpreter to gather intelligence. Mission impossible with the partisan movement in Gostagayevskaya from the very beginning did not set. Steppe and steppe all around, you can see anyone at a glance, and on the hills of the North Caucasus foothills is not a forest, but so – woodlands. The commander of the partisan detachment – my grandfather Ivan Aleksandrovich Kovalev, the Nazis seized on a tip from traitors in this mountain forest near the village almost immediately. He hasn't even had time to put together a squad yet! They tortured him in the former school building and shot him a few days later. I don't know how he did it, but before he died, he managed to pass the card he carried in his breast pocket to his family. Fresh, just a month before taken by my grandmother. She stands on it 30-year-old, with a stern face, lifting higher 2-year-old dad and putting his arm around the shoulders of his 7-year-old brother, who looks at the camera with fear. On the back, in the teacher's handwriting, is written: "10 / VIII-42 years old. Photographed in the middle of the war. I don't know if I can survive it! Remember sometimes your wife and children Borya and Vova." Anapa Khatyn. So it turns out that the scout Evdokia walked on a razor's edge! Judge for yourself: the older sister's husband is a partisan commander who was shot, her own husband beats the Germans at the front, and Raya's younger sister is also fighting there. When our units were retreating from the village, she ran out to see them off with her three-year-old daughter Maya and everyone saw her! Grandpa Grisha and grandma Nina did not immediately understand the children's babble – the baby tried to pass them her mother's message. Just two words: gone to war! When the village was released, a letter came from the fugitive asking her to put flowers on the grave of her daughter Mayechka. They read it aloud, and the five-year-old daughter was already surprised: "what other grave?” But the mother had every reason to believe that the Nazis did not spare her child – she went to the front, and the family of volunteers did not stand on ceremony. Gostagai is called Anapa Khatyn for a reason! 134 residents of the village, mostly women and children, were brutally starved in the "soulhouse" with poison gas. They drove the living into it, and after 17 km of the way they dumped the dead into the pit. The Germans were in the village for a little more than a year - from August 30, 1942 to September 23, 1943. Just before the retreat, when there was heavy fighting on the so-called "Blue line", the invaders took 40 children aged from one and a half to 13 years old to transfuse their blood to their wounded. All, without a trace! In total, during this terrible year, they tortured 198 people: 45 men, 86 women and 67 children. It's a miracle that Dusya managed to survive in this meat grinder! Another would not have tried her luck-she stayed at home to raise her son and wait for her husband from the front. But she was a soldier of the Red Army, its valuable personnel, intelligence officer, and the war is not over yet! Red army soldier Evdokia Fedorchenko was ordered to retreat with the Germans to the Crimea and, of course, fulfilled it. In 7 months, she managed to send home two letters, but only one, the last one, was preserved. 3 / III-44 g. Hello, dear dad, mom, Mura, Nadia and tadpoles: Bob, Alex, Eric, Maya, Dylan and Nina! I can't tell you how much I missed you. It's been four months since I left home, and it feels like forever. I wrote You another letter earlier, and I managed to write it again. How much I want to say to you, but I can't convey what I feel on paper. I can only say that I envy you - you are all together, and I am alone and in a foreign land, where it was easier to experience any conditions together with you, and here I live well financially, but how I experience morally - this you do not understand. And the hatred for the cursed enemy grows even stronger, the fists are clenched even more against these scoundrels who have destroyed our happy and joyful life, who have turned the land of the sun into a tomb. I have seen a lot during this time, and now I am burning with one desire: to finish off the enemy faster, to free our sacred land from these monsters, to allow the people to breathe freely. I ask you to help restore the national economy in every way, it's spring - I remember our garden, I want to help you, but this year I can't help, and it seems that I would fall to the ground and scream and kiss my land, even if I could see a piece of my homeland, no matter how good it is here, and where I was born and grew up is the most precious thing. ... Don't worry about me, I live well, I just miss you, but the time will come - see you, we will rejoice together in our victory over the enemy. I don't think I'll get anything from you, but I'll write if I can, but don't write yet, because I think we'll change the address soon. I'd love to hear a word from you. How is everyone's health? How I worry that it's spring, and Eric is naked and barefoot, and I can't do anything, even though I have the opportunity... I siss all of you and give you a big hug. Teach Eric a little, I'm sick that it's time to send him to school, and you have a whole nursery there. Let's hope to see you soon. I kiss you again and wish you happiness. Pray for my success and for my life!” Martyr for the Fatherland Military censorship almost completely blotted out the paragraph from it, considering secret information about fellow countrymen whom the intelligence officer accidentally encountered in the Crimea. But one of them gave her to the enemy, given that the letter is dated March 3, 1944, and she died on the 19th. Someone I know, according to the uncrossed fragments, came with one woman and left with another, and this other lives with her father and brother. Dusya has heard about someone, but doesn't know about someone. And she also reports that "once met" a man who " shoemakers, he is everywhere at home with his brothers and sisters, was with me. Here they are..." one of these people have betrayed her? To make out the names smeared with ink, you need special expertise. But Dusya's parents had already guessed who they were talking about, even though they kept the knowledge to themselves. After all, the truth about it was not declassified, for the feat was not awarded. And people are different: they will not believe that a scout, they will say-a traitor. Dusya's son Eric died after getting into a fight with a scoundrel who insulted the memory of his mother. And after the grandson, one by one, Evdokia's parents died out: her mother's heart failed, and a month later her father left. They were a rare breed of lovebirds who don't live without each other. And they both had wonderful voices, like birds. In his youth, my great-grandfather sang in the Church choir. So, with faith in his heart, he served in combat in Ashgabat and Tehran, and then won the first world war on the Caucasian front, saving Armenians during the days of the massacre near Erzerum. His faith ended in 1918, having failed the test of a Bolshevik concentration camp for Cossacks. To the madness of the brave, how many nameless Alexander Matrosovs covered the embrasure of the pillbox with their Breasts! How many Victor Talalikhins went to fight in the sky, and Nikolaev Gastello died on the ground, sending the downed planes into the thick of enemy equipment! We will never know the names of all the heroes worthy of the Star, but we can try to save from oblivion at least some of them whose story still lives in the family archives.

Rutskoy Vasily Efimovich_x000D_ _x000D_ In every family, the Great Patriotic war left its mark: someone died on the battlefields, someone went missing, someone returned home wounded, and someone was not touched by a single enemy bullet.
