The faces of WWII Heroes

Ryabokon Alexey Dmitrievich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Second Lieutenant._x000D_ Branch of troops: Aviation. _x000D_ Division: 260th assault aviation Svirskaya Red Banner order of Suvorov division. _x000D_ In the early morning of June 22, 1941, the war broke into every family treacherously, like a tornado. Even those who had never held a weapon before went to the front. For these people, the war became the great Patriotic war. They went to protect everything they loved so much. My grandfather Alexey Dmitrievich Ryabokon did not stay away. He did not think about glory, at the age of 19, he was ready to give his life for peace and freedom on earth. He graduated from the 9th aviation school of initial training in Buguruslan. In the city of Chkalov 1 Chkalovskiy military school of pilots. On may 9, 1945, the long-awaited Victory Day came. This we now know about this. And then in may 1945, a young pilot, second Lieutenant of the 839th Assault Aviation Novogireevskiy Red Banner regiment Alexey Ryabokon flew flights as part of IL-2 aircraft. It destroyed military echelons, enemy manpower, and motor vehicles, suppressing battery fire at the stations of Malchin, Mizdrov, Kalkoffen, and Lebbin in Germany. A group of stormtroopers with the participation of the aircraft my grandfather was destroyed by a ship in the area of the Pomeranian Bay near Swinemunda. For exemplary performance of combat missions at the front against the German invaders, my grandfather was awarded the order of the red star. But war is war, and on one of his flights his plane was shot down. My grandfather didn't die. He managed to land his plane, but the landing was hard. After being injured, my grandfather was sent to a sanatorium in Landeck (Baden-württemberg, Germany) to restore his health. War is a terrible time, but that's when my grandfather and my grandmother met. It was at that sanatorium in Landeck that they met. She worked as a nurse (she is also a participant in the great Patriotic war), and he was recovering from injuries. After the war, from 1946 to 1948, my grandfather served in Tbilisi in 242 bomber regiment 180 of the air division and 373 bomber regiment 180 of the air division. In 1948, for health reasons, he was dismissed to the reserve. In 1949, he was accepted into the MGB and sent to the 17th police Department of Ordzhonikidze district of Baku as head of the passport office. Peace, love, happiness ... it seemed to Young Alexey and Olga Ryabokon that now they are together forever. But war is insidious, it can kill in peacetime. At the age of 33, my grandfather was torn out of life by an illness caused by injuries received in the war. And although he did not live long, life with my grandmother was happy, in this marriage a daughter was born, my mother. After his death, his grandmother lived a long life, 34 years, but never married. When I asked her," why alone? Why didn't you get married?" She answered: "there is no better man on earth Than my Alyosha." I am grateful to God that they were alive, that they met and fell in love with each other, and that their daughter, I, and their granddaughter preserved and carried their life story through the years. I told this story to my daughter, and she will tell it to her children so that they know that ordinary Soviet people performed a great feat. I am proud that my grandfather was one of them. (recorded Terbentuk I. A.)

Rodchenko Andrey Vasilyevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Red Army troops: the Land forces, the Air force (except for naval aviation), the coast service, the troops of the people's Commissariat of internal Affairs, the border guard Civil war, devastation, famine-all this passed him by, he was too small. But farm labor has known before. My father and mother worked on the collective farm from morning to night. His mother, Maria Vasilyevna, was put on the Red list for her good work. At the age of fifteen, Andrey Vasilyevich also began working on the collective farm: he plowed on oxen, sowed, and performed other work. He was even trusted to train young bulls in the furrow, as an experienced Plowman, which he recalls with some pride. He was not accepted into the army because of poor eyesight. In 1940, recruiters came to the village to recruit young people for the construction of the Molotov Siberian railway. Andrey Vasilyevich also enlisted. I liked my job. The young people were cheerful and hard-working. I learned the news of the war there. Soon they wrote from home that my father was fighting at the front. In April 1942, Andrey Vasilyevich was also drafted into the army. The topographical detachment to which he was assigned was sent to the far East. We worked 80 kilometers from the border with China: we photographed the area and put it on maps. In October of the same year, the detachment returned to the 387th rifle regiment, and preparations began for sending to the front - the Smolensk direction. After disbanding, Andrey Vasilyevich became a fighter of the 19th guards Rudnensky division at Rokossovsky. It reflected the tank counteroffensive on Moscow, was the first number of an anti-tank rifle. The fighting was hot. German tanks were burning, like candles. But more and more appeared in place of the burned ones. In February 1943, he was wounded. He spent several days in the Sychevsky hospital in the Smolensk region and was sent to the reserve regiment. And soon the front again. Now Andrey Vasilyevich fought in the 88th division of the 33rd Belarusian army in the group of 22 reconnaissance battalions. With this battalion, he passed Belarus, liberated Poland. Most often, the squad received a task-to take the "language". Andrey Vasilyevich doesn't remember how many of them were delivered to the headquarters. But then one day "language" turned out to be an important figure, because the whole group was presented for awards. Andrey Vasilyevich-to the order of the red Star. But, as often happened at the front, after the announcement of awards, the battalion went further, and the well-deserved order found a soldier not soon. In 1944, our countryman was seriously wounded. He was evacuated from a Polish hospital to Minsk and from there to Ufa. In Ufa, he was treated for a long time, and there he learned about the end of the war. He returned home in February 1946 as an invalid. Two years later, the award came. In the Rovensky district military Commissariat, he was awarded the order of the red Star. Andrey Vasilyevich also has other awards - the order of the Patriotic war of the first degree, the medal "for the victory over Germany". After the war, he lived as best he could, worked as hard as his health allowed. Always lived modestly.

He wanted us all to never know what hunger and poverty were. He wanted us to get an education and become decent people. My great-grandfather Semyon Andreevich became for me an example of courage, bravery, decency, willpower and desire to live in whatever it was.

Romanov Evgeny Nikolaevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Lieutenant military branch: Land forces, air force (except naval aviation), coast service, NKVD troops, border guard Unit: 229th rifle division (1st formation) Romanov Yevgeny Nikolaevich born in 1922 Tambov region Raskazovsky district village of Khitrovo. Russian, an employee, a member of the CFS since 1938 membership card number 8009575, graduated from 8th grade in 1940. He entered the Oryol infantry school. Awarded the rank of Lieutenant 20.06.1941 Participant of the Patriotic war from 05.08 to 12.10.1941. Wounded in the right thigh 12.10.1941. Oryol region (village not legible). He served IN 855СП 278СД. Apparently, a platoon commander. The division was part of the Bryansk front 50 A. She died in October 1941. Arrived in 229 SD after being wounded. Served in the 8th rifle company 783 SP. Deputy commander of the company. From the book "Forbidden soldiers" by Raphael Goldberg: "... since August 5, our 229th rifle division was surrounded. The commander of the 783rd joint venture was major Rybakov, and after his death the regiment was commanded by art. Lieutenant Monarch ... Retreated to the don at night in the direction of the farm Lakhovsky-St. Surovikina. They could not cross the don river. The entire 783rd joint venture was captured along with the regiment. Lieutenant Monarch and other command staff... "(From the filtration case of V. F. Fedorov, a former prisoner of war, com. platoon of the 783rd joint venture, Yalutorovsk) " ... in the Morning at sunrise we heard the hum of engines and saw German tanks coming straight at us through the wheat. Tankers, standing in open hatches, showed their infantry where the Russian soldiers who were captured were hiding. They took our weapons and drove us to the village… And at night, the commander of the 1st company came running to us and said that we should shoot. But our company officer cut him off, so as not to spread panic. There was also a girl nurse. She started crying and asked to be shot. In the morning I saw that this girl was shot in the forehead, but which of the commanders killed her, I do not know. It remained lying in wheat, and about three thousands of us were driven into a ravine, entangled in one row with barbed wire... "(From the filtration case of V. G. Vasiliev, private 783rd SP 229th SD, Omutinsky district) From the letter of the head of the search team "VRMOO Search" Dmitry Kufenko: Yuri Vlasov and I are engaged in 229 SD and have been working on the site of the division's death for three years. 783 JV was immediately transferred to Surovikinsky district and fighting began for 783 JV near Kh. Cysewski, and then moved to the left Bank of the Chira, where the division was encircled. Vlasov and I are engaged in 229 SD and have been working there for three years. By 15.09.42 from the division there were about 500 people who left the encirclement. All the rest died in Zadonie. The last battle of 229 SD was taken on the night of August 10 and the day North of b. Water-2. It was a breakout attempt. in the future, only scattered groups of soldiers went to the don. The report was made later, as you can see on page 1 of this report, based on emails not received by the recipients. that's right, the rest of the documents were destroyed or lost during the retreat. another document that you probably looked at is the RVC summary. it was made later and the date was set from the list of losses by mistake. Most likely, Romanov E. N. died on July 25-27 near Kh. Cysewski when 783 SP suffered particularly severe losses and retreated. Ie the fate of the deceased were not known. We have been working in those parts for three years (mostly for 811 SPS) and we can say with confidence that most of the missing soldiers of 229 SD died, and did not surrender or were captured.

Also, the 372nd rifle division was involved in the operation to withdraw the 2nd shock army from the encirclement, which was conducted in the period from 13.05 to 10.07.1942. After the liberation of the Estonian SSR 30.09.1944, the division was withdrawn into Stavka reserve and, together with the office of the 108th rifle corps consisting of the 2nd shock army (to the end of the war he was in the army) deployed in Northern Poland on the 2nd Belorussian front (in the army — from 16.10.1944). The fighting was extremely maneuverable, which was caused by the frequent transfer of ammunition to the firing positions of the battery. Guard Sergeant Rusanov put the work of vehicles so that there was not a single case of interruptions in the delivery of ammunition to the front line. So on 08.03.1945, when the enemy with the support of tanks and armored personnel carriers in the area of SR. Balazhki launched a fierce counterattack on the battle lines of the 2nd page of the battalion and ammunition was running out, tov. Rusanov himself personally, replacing the driver who was injured, took up this difficult task. Risking your life under heavy art. min. after firing at the enemy, he immediately brought ammunition and disguised the vehicle on the ground, and then at a considerable distance, together with other soldiers, crawled ammunition to the firing positions of the battery, which played a big role in the outcome of the battle. Thanks to the uninterrupted work of our artillery, the regiment repelled 5 enemy counterattacks during the day and defended its line. Worthy of the Government award: the order of the Red Star." Rassokhin Ivan Lazarevich_x000D_ _x000D_ Rank: Red Army soldier. _x000D_ Type of troops: Armored and mechanized Troops. _x000D_ Division: the 1-st Panzer Red Banner Division. Ivan Lazarevich Rassokhin was born on may 20, 1922 in the village of Shuravino in the Shatrovskiy district of the Kurgan region in a large family (8 brothers and sisters). In 1935, he came to the village of Sagra in the Verkhe-Pyshminsky district of the Sverdlovsk region. Here he remained for permanent residence, hanging out with his nieces and younger sister. In order to take a tractor driver's course, he went to his native village to get a birth certificate, but the documents were lost after the death of his parents. I had to restore them, and in order to be older and go to study as a tractor driver, my grandfather deliberately added an extra year to his age, because they took courses from the age of 14, and he was only 13.From this point on, the grandfather's date of birth is may 20, 1922, not 1923. After completing the course, my grandfather worked as a tractor driver in the timber industry until 1941. When the war began, he, like many residents of the country, did not stay away, but was eager to go to the front (he was only 18 years old at that time). The assigned year also helped him here, after training as a tank driver and radio operator, he fought as part of the 1-st guards tank brigade. The brigade was transferred to the most severe battles. In one of the battles at the river crossing, my grandfather's tank was hit and almost completely submerged in water. The entire crew of the tank was killed, but the grandfather was still alive! Although he was badly injured and shell-shocked. On the second day after the battle, it was accidentally discovered by passing Russian troops. My grandfather was taken to the hospital, after treatment, he could no longer control the tank and was sent to train as a gunner of the “Katyusha” anti-aircraft multiple-launch rocket launcher.
