Photo shows Nikolay Davydovich Farafonov (L), Squad Commander of 4th Infantry Company, born in 1923 in the village of Ostanino, Manturovsky district, Kursk region, drafted to Red Army on October 15, 1941. He was at the front from April 5, 1942. He was wounded on April 28, 1943. Performed feats on 03/01/1943- 03/31/1943, 05/01/1943 - 06/30/1943, and was awarded.

Evdokimov Fedor Mikhailovich, Sergeant gun-loader. Photo was taken when my great-grandfather received his second Order of Red Star in 1944. In August 1944, Fyodor Mikhailovich took three Germans as war prisoners and escorted them to headquarters. We keep the photo in our family archive. We cherish it! Thank you, great-grandfather! I bow down to you! I am proud and I remember!

Maria Vasilievna Glamazda (Starinnova), surgery nurse of medical and sanitary battalion of Stalingrad Front. Her team has performed more than 900 complex operations in 100 days and nights. M.V. Glamazda was awarded Order of Red Star and Medal "For Defense of Stalingrad" for outstanding performance of combat missions during battle of Stalingrad.
