Semyon Belyaevsky was born on February 3, 1913 in the village of Shiroko-Atamanovsky of the Don Army Region, now Morozovsky District of the Rostov Region
The platoon leader of the 100th Guards Rifle Regiment Guards Lieutenant Belyaevsky, distinguished himself on August 1, 1944 when crossing the Vistula River South of Magnuszew (Poland). The platoon captured a bridgehead on the left bank and facilitated the crossing of the regiment's units. Belyaevsky was wounded, but continued to manage the battle.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, he was awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star Medal.
