Alexander Posledov was born on May 5, 1923 in the village of Maryevka in the Milyutinsky District. Senior scout of the 293rd Mortar Regiment (32nd Separate Mortar Brigade, 69th Army, 1st Belorussian Front). By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, Specialist Alexander Posledov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree for exceptional courage, bravery and fearlessness shown at the final stage of the Great Patriotic War.
