Peter Mikhailovich Mizin (1914-2001) was born in the village of Klyuchevo, Sergach district, conscripted to the front in October 1941 and sent to the scouting school. In 1942 he was sent to the Leningrad front, was wounded in the leg. In 1943, at the Ukrainian front, as part of the artillery self-propelled regiment, he was the commander of the reconnaissance department. He participated in the battles for the liberation of Kiev, Zhitomir, Brusilov. He was demobilised in October 1946. He was awarded the Medal "For Courage".
