Zaitsev Viktor Petrovich. Born in 1924, in Kusa, Chelyabinsk region. At the age of 18 he went to study at a tankers school. After studying it for six months, he called up to regular units. He went through the whole war as a tanker. He burned three times in the tank. He reached Prague, when his tank was hit. He was wounded. He was in a hospital in Odessa when his mother received a “killed in action” notice. He returned in August 1945. He was wounded in the leg and had the second group of disability. He was awarded.
