Tsvetkov Konstantin Nikolaevich
Tsvetkov Konstantin Nikolaevich was born on August 1, 1895 in the village of Dektyanoe, Ryazan region. Born into the family of a Moscow nobleman. He studied at the Ryazan men's gymnasium, from which he graduated in 1913. In the same year he tried to enter the Moscow Agricultural Academy, but could not pass the exams and entered the law faculty of Moscow University. After studying for two years at the university, he was drafted into military service and sent to the student battalion (Moscow, Spassky barracks), and from there to the Vilna military school. In January 1916, he graduated from the school with the rank of ensign and was appointed a junior officer in the 201st infantry reserve regiment, which was stationed in the city of Yelets. Until November 1917, he fought on the North-Western Front as part of the 70th Ryazhsky Infantry Regiment of the 18th Infantry Division of the 14th Corps of the 5th Army in positions. In July 1919, he was appointed to the headquarters of the Southern Front, authorized for communications in the Voronezh fortified region. From June 1938 to July 1941, Colonel Tsvetkov taught at the L.M. Kaganovich Military Transport Academy, was: a senior teacher of firepower training, then a teacher and senior teacher of the tactics department. On July 2, 1941, he was appointed to the post of commander of the 27th separate brigade of the Northern, then the Leningrad front. At the beginning of November 1942, he was assigned to the active army - deputy commander of the 6th rifle division of the 10th reserve army of the Supreme High Command Headquarters. Upon recertification, in January 1943 he received the rank of colonel. Since February 1943, the division, as part of the 6th Army of the Southwestern Front, participated in the Kharkov offensive operation, in the liberation of the cities of Balakleya and Krasnograd. In May 1943, Colonel Tsvetkov was appointed commander of the 41st Guards Rifle Division, which he commanded until June 1947. The division under his leadership participated in the Battle of Kursk, the Belgorod-Kharkov offensive, the battle for the Dnieper, in the Kirovograd, then in the Korsun-Shevchenko offensive operations. He was badly wounded twice. On October 25, 1944, Colonel Tsvetkov K.N. was awarded the rank of Major General. Under the leadership of Major General Tsvetkov, the division took part in the Budapest and Vienna offensive operations. In August 1947, he became deputy head of the general tactics department of the S.M.Budyonny Military Academy of Communications. He died at the age of 53, from a heart attack while swimming on July 3, 1949. He was buried at the Bogoslovskoye Cemetery in Leningrad.
