On January 8 Sirenko Pyotr Andreevich was taken to the front. He fought as a machine gunner on the 2nd Ukrainian front in the direction of Kursk-Oryol-Belgrade, on the 1st Ukrainian front, liberated Kiev. He was wounded twice. He went all the way to Berlin. Demobilized on April 9, 1950 with the rank of divisional foreman. Awards: "For military services", "For the capture of Kiev", "For the capture of Vienna", "For the capture of Berlin", "For courage", the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree, the Silver medal of the 2nd degree.
