Popova Irina Aleksandrovna - a resident of the city of Pugachev, Saratov region. In May 1942 she joined the newly formed 64th Army, the sanitary-epidemiological detachment. In July of the same year, together with a detachment, Irina Aleksandrovna arrived at the Stalingrad front. At the front I.A. Popova was there until 1945, she ended the war in Germany. After the war she worked as an ophthalmologist. She was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Red Star, medals "For Military Merit", "For the Defense of Stalingrad", "For the Liberation of Prague", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945."
