Ivan Ivanovich Korovin was born on March 4, 1915 in Athemar village of Saransk district of Penza province. In October 1938 he was drafted into the army by the Saransk GVK of Mordovia ASSR. By the order of the troops of the 48th Army on July 16, 1943 he was awarded the badge "Excellent Signalman". He was also awarded the medal "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", the medal "For the capture of Koenigsberg”. He has the Order of "Patriotic War 2 degree" and medals for the anniversary dates of the Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 - 1945. Ivan Ivanovich met the end of the war in Koenigsberg. He was demobilized on November 13, 1945 by order № 0340.
