Yulia Iosifovna Shvets received a military card in 1939, after graduating from the Kiev Feldsher-Obstetric College. She known about the war in Kiev. On June 26, Yulia Iosifovna received a draft notice to arrive at the military post. The girl served in the evacuation hospital of the Ukrainian Front. Thousands of wounded were transported from the field hospital. There was always a lot of work. Shvets washed the soldiers, treated their wounds. The wounds were different, someone was sent immediately to the operating table. In 1944 she served in medical company of the Polish army. She celebrated Victory Day in Poland. After demobilization in 1945, she arrived in Maisky village.
