In December 1941 he was drafted and enrolled in the Yaroslavl naval half-crew, in which he trained until March 1942. Then he was assigned to the 142nd separate battalion of the marines, participated in the Defense of the Tuapse direction (Novorossiysk). From 01.1943-12.1944 he served in the 384th Marine Corps Battalion, then he was included in the control commission of the Soviet occupation forces in Hungary. Demobilized in October 1945
