On August 9, 1945, the war with Japan began. The Soviet army began to liberate the territories of China occupied by the militarists. Artists of the brigade headed by Nikolai Enbe moved along with the military units of the Red Army across Manchuria. Performances and concerts were given at the halts. The artists also gave performances for the inhabitants of the liberated Chinese cities of Changchun and Harbin. The repertoire included songs, circus and musical numbers, sketches: "Front and rear", "In the province", "One evening" and many other anti-Hitler plays written by local authors.
