1941-1945

Sutkovenko Pyotr Kononovich, my grandfather.

Born in 1915 in Kalinino village, Khalilovsky District, Chkalov (Orenburg) Region. He took the oath of allegiance on July 22, 1941 at the 462nd unit of the motor transport battalion. By Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet he was transferred to the reserve in October 1945. Government awards recorded in his military card: the Medals "For Courage", "For Defense of Moscow", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945", the Order of the Red Star. He died in 1969.
