Veteran of Labour, participant of the Great Patriotic War, Assistant Professor (Docent), Candidate of Medical Sciences. In August 1942 at the age of 17 Klavdiya Tikhonovna volunteered for the front. She entered the school of radio operators of a separate motorized rifle brigade of special operations. After graduation she was enrolled as a radio operator in the troops of the NKVD (People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs) - NKGB (People's Commissariat for State Security) of the USSR.
