Karasev Sergey Nikitovich. I want to tell you about my grandfather Karasev Sergey Nikitovich whom I have never seen. He went missing in the first days of the war. My grandfather was born in Kaluga in 1904. Since 1938 he had been a senior political instructor, since 1939 - a student of the Military-Political Academy named after V. I. Lenin. In August 1941 he was drafted into the 6th Army as a senior instructor for work among partisan detachments in the enemy rear. In September 1941 he went missing on the Southern Front. We don't know how our grandfather died, there is no grave where you could put a bouquet of flowers. My sister found this meager data through the Archives of the Russian Defense Ministry in Podolsk.
