Petunin Vsevolod Nikolaevich

My grandfather Petunin Vsevolod Nikolaevich was born back in 1917. He started working at the age of 16. Received the specialty of a tinsmith. He also worked as a carter, firefighter, machinist at a glass factory, a miner, and a roofer. On May 2, 1939, my great-grandfather was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. Then the war began. In September 1941, he was sent to the 69th Marine Rifle Brigade and was appointed commander of the 3rd Separate Rifle Battalion. Immediately sent by an echelon to participate in the battles near Moscow In October 1941, German planes, like black crows, bombed Moscow every day. Our soldiers bravely defended the city. In 1942, my great-grandfather took part in the battles on the Karelian front.
