Two medals "For Courage" (23.10.1944, 18.04.1945). Being the telephone operator comrade Zhiganov especially distinguished himself during the period of battles near the city of Koninsberg. Working to ensure uninterrupted communication, Comrade Zhiganov risked his life more than once, and no matter what, Comrade Zhiganov continued to eliminate gusts on the line. When the place where the line was laid, the enemy began to subject Zhiganov, being in great danger, quickly moved the line to another place. The section of the line was moved to a safer place in 4 minutes.
