My mother’s great-grandfather, Aleksey Georgievich Ivanov. Born on February 25, 1925. Served from 1942 to November 1943 in the 49th regiment of the 5th shock brigade. He was wounded on November 24, 1943 in the Ukrainian SSR near the town of Bolshoi Tokmak. He died in 1994.
